As part of Microsoft's AI Experiences organization, Microsoft Edge for Business is building the next generation of AI powered, secure enterprise browsing experiences by connecting the browser with Microsoft's security, identity, management, and productivity ecosystem.
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to drive the design, development, and ship strategic investments that enable secure enterprise browsing for commercial customers.
You will help define the future of enterprise Browser/Copilot management and AI-powered productivity experiences used by customers around the world. This role offers opportunities to drive architecture, influence product direction, mentor engineers, and deliver solutions at Microsoft scale while working closely with teams across Edge, Microsoft 365, Azure, and Microsoft AI Experiences.

Starting January 26, 2026, Microsoft AI (MAI) employees who live within a 50- mile commute of a designated Microsoft office in the U.S. or 25-mile commute of a non-U.S., country-specific location are expected to work from the office at least four days per week. This expectation is subject to local law and may vary by jurisdiction.
Responsibilities
- Drive technical architecture and implementation of browser-based security solutions for managed environments Security, Identity, and Management Integrations.
- Partner with Microsoft Security and Compliance teams to build integrated security experiences across the Microsoft ecosystem.
- Contribute to the long-term technical strategy and roadmap for enterprise security capabilities in Microsoft Edge.
- Lead implementation of cross-organizational engineering initiatives that span multiple Microsoft products and services.
- Mentor engineers through technical guidance, design reviews, and engineering best practices.
- Leverage telemetry, customer feedback, and operational insights to continuously improve product quality and customer satisfaction.
- Contribute to a culture of technical excellence, innovation, inclusion, and continuous learning.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C++, JavaScript, C, C#, or Python
- OR equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience.
- Cross-platform development experience.
- Experience contributing to a large-scale software engineering project.
- Design, coding, and debugging skills in modern programming languages.
Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $160,200 - $261,000 per year.
