We’re looking for a talented and versatile Senior Software Developer with strong experience in Python, Django, and React to join our team. In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of building and maintaining scalable web applications using our core backend and frontend technologies. You’ll collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, QA, and other stakeholders to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions. This position is a full-time role. We are 100% remote, but candidates must reside and be authorized to work in Costa Rica.
Responsibilities- Design, build, and maintain web applications across the stack, from backend services and APIs to dynamic frontends.
- Develop backend services using Python and Django, leveraging FastAPI / Pydantic or Django Ninja Core as core tools.
- Build and maintain asynchronous workflows and background tasks using Celery and Redis.
- Implement real-time or event-driven functionality using Django Channels and webhooks.
- Build responsive and interactive user interfaces with React.
- Containerize applications using Docker and collaborate on container-based deployment strategies.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including product, QA, and DevOps to ship high-quality software.
- Contribute to improving system reliability, performance, and maintainability.
- Follow best practices in software engineering, testing, and troubleshooting.
- 5+ years of professional experience with Python, building and maintaining production-grade systems.
- Strong experience with Django and modern Python API frameworks (FastAPI / Pydantic or Django Ninja Core).
- Solid experience working with React.
- Hands-on experience with Celery and Redis for background processing.
- Experience containerizing applications using Docker.
- Familiarity with Django Channels or webhook-based integrations.
- Good communication skills and a strong, pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work effectively with minimum requirements and evolve solutions incrementally.
- Experience working with SQL databases.
- Experience managing or deploying services using Azure Container Apps, including Docker-based setups.
- Exposure to Microsoft Dynamics 365 integrations.
