The VENUE engineering team is looking for a talented Senior Software Developer (C++) to be a member of the Audio Products development team based in Poland. Someone who is interested in helping us continue to build and improve our live sound software: VENUE. This role is based in Szczecin, Poland on an Onsite setup with limited flexibility for remote work based on work requirements/demand.
In this role you will be responsible for creating, debugging, and maintaining the C++ application running mostly on Windows Embedded. While your exact tasks will vary according to project requirements, typical tasks may include developing new features, writing UI code using our application framework and contributing to the overall quality of our products.
To join our team, you must have a solid understanding of software engineering and object-oriented design techniques, a unique ability to create, debug, and maintain bulletproof C++ code, an eye for detail, and extremely high standards with respect to software quality and reliability and be an awesome team player.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:Lead the design and development of one of the world's best high-end mixing consoles.
Architect and implement new features while optimizing and maintaining existing functionality, with a focus on seamless integration of emerging hardware platforms.
Oversee both cross-platform (Windows Embedded and Linux) and platform-specific code.
Communicate with product owner, participate in improving requirements, propose new ideas.
Develop user interfaces using both own framework and Qt/QML (with underlying functionality on C++).
Work as part of a geographically distributed team, located in Europe and the United States time zones.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or other related field.
At least 4 years of commercial C++ development experience.
Preferred Skills, Experience, Capabilities:
Strong expertise in STL, algorithms, and OOP principles, delivering clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
Extensive experience with multithreading, interprocess communication, and networking protocols (TCP/UDP) using Boost.Asio.
Proficient in Qt framework and QML for building responsive and user-friendly interfaces.
Skilled in developing real-time audio and embedded applications, with solid understanding of digital signal processing (DSP) concepts.
Hands-on experience with Windows API (WinAPI) for system-level programming and integration.
Adept at unit testing, debugging, and refactoring to improve code quality and testability.
Comfortable working with Git, Jira, and within Agile Scrum teams.
Practical knowledge or strong interest in music creation, enhancing alignment with audio-focused projects.
Collaborative team player who adheres to coding standards and promotes best practices.
