Position Description
To lead/contribute to the analysis and design specifications, and perform programming and testing of system components (WebLogic, Java, .Net, BI, etc). Provide technical direction and support to users, peers and other domain/feature team members ensuring standards are followed and participate in collaboration across ISS and the Business.
Primary Job Responsibilities
- Participates in the analysis, design, and development of technical specifications, programming, and testing of application components. Able to facilitate the creation and maintenance of analysis and design models.
- Contributes to implementation modeling including definition of distribution of system across physical nodes, definition of run-time architecture, concurrency requirements, inter-process communication mechanisms, and process lifecycles.
- Participates in software design and programming reviews and can articulate design and enterprise programming standards and guidelines and promote adherence to standards. Mentors team members on story card refinement and code craft.
- Advocates development best practices and code quality within their team and in Communities Of Practice.
- Facilitates adherence to deployment activities, automated testing practices, and development of secure coding practices as defined by the enterprise coding standards. (Veracode, SonarQube, etc)
- Assists the Lead SDI with issue resolution, scalability metrics, integration issues, and response to critical production issues via conference call as required.
- Maintains knowledge of business requirements.
- Assists with interviewing, training, developing, and evaluating staff to meet corporate goals and objectives.
Perform other related assigned duties as necessary to complete the Primary Job Responsibilities as described above.

Minimum Requirements:
Position requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, statistics, engineering or related field and five years' experience in applications design and programming.
Position requires business intelligence development experience; experience with one of the following business intelligence tools is required: Looker, PowerBI, Tableau, MicroStrategy, SAS, OBIEE, Business Objects, or Cognos; experience with iterative software development practices, relational database concepts, and recent Oracle SQL is also required; ability to provide direction to immediate team members; ability to resolve highly complex problems using independent judgment.
