Social Media & Content Manager (Prop Trading)

Joining us you will be a part of our global PR & Social Media Team working from the UK, Poland, Singapore and Canada. You will report to the Global Social Media Lead and deliver a social strategy that is informed by local knowledge of the market and consumers, especially in Thailand and Taiwan. You will help to grow, protect and enhance OANDA Prop Trader’s community of engaged traders via organic social media, with a strong focus on high quality video content.

In this role, you will:

• Be responsible for all social media work for all Prop Trader focused content, and lead and execute plans across all organic social channels end to end.

• Plan, develop and publish posts to grow and develop the Prop Trading content streams.

• Manage editorial schedule and publication for OANDA Prop Trading  Labs blog (including occasionally researching and preparing SEO-led, long-form educational blogs about Prop Trading).

• Nurture a video production strategy and star in video content that drives both brand awareness and traffic to the OANDA Prop Trading site.

• Report back results to both the team and wider business, using data to show the impact of activities.

• Work closely with the Marketing Performance Team to deliver campaigns and promotional material across organic social media channels.

• Monitor the health and reputation of the OANDA Prop Trading brand in the online space.

• Track and manage incoming client reviews on dedicated OPT TrustPilot page.

What skillsets do you need to be successful in this role?

• Min. 5 years of experience in social media and content production.

• Fluent English.

• Working experience of variety of social media tools, a pulse on trends and a sense for what a good brand looks like on channels.

• An understanding of financial markets and a willingness to learn about the Prop Trading industry and online trading. 

• Experience of leading and being the key stakeholder on crucial projects.

• Be comfortable managing outside vendors.

• Organized and well-versed in coordinating projects across multiple touch points.

• Confidence in front of the camera.

Nice to have

• Existing contacts within the prop trading space. ​

• Knowledge of second language - Chinese or Thai.

• Filming and video editing experience.

You will be hired as an Independent Contractor (6 months) with a possibility to extend.

Independent Contractors are required to operate as a business entity (company/sole proprietorship) to enter into a Consulting Contract with OANDA.
