The Senior Site Engineer at Nawy Real Estate will take a lead role in supervising construction projects, ensuring they are executed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with the project specifications and applicable regulations. This position involves mentoring junior engineers and coordinating with various stakeholders to uphold quality standards and meet project deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all on-site activities, ensuring effective execution of construction plans according to specifications and timelines.
- Review and interpret project drawings, specifications, and related documents to provide clarity to the engineering team and subcontractors.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with safety regulations.
- Oversee material procurement and logistics to ensure timely availability of resources necessary for construction activities.
- Communicate regularly with project managers and other stakeholders to report on progress, challenges, and solutions.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and site staff, fostering professional development and ensuring adherence to best practices.
- Document daily site activities, prepare reports, and maintain accurate records of progress and issues encountered.
- Resolve technical problems on-site promptly and efficiently, implementing solutions in collaboration with project teams.
- Ensure all site operations comply with company policies, industry standards, and health and safety regulations.
- Assist in the final project close-out process, including compiling completion documentation and warranty claims.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in site engineering or construction management, with at least 2 years in a senior role.
- Extensive knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and legal regulations.
- Proficiency in project management and engineering software.
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills with the ability to effectively manage teams.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Capacity to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
