Veta Virtual is hiring a Senior SEO Account Manager for one of our clients in the Home Services Marketing industry — a U.S.-based digital marketing agency helping HVAC, plumbing, roofing, electrical, and landscaping businesses dominate local search and generate more leads through performance-driven SEO. This is a senior, client-facing role built for someone who is technically sharp, strategically strong, and confident holding intelligent conversations with business owners of $10M–$15M companies. 🔑 Your Role:

As a Senior SEO Account Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for a portfolio of U.S.-based home service business owners — owning the full cycle from strategy through execution through client communication. This is not a hand-off role. You will diagnose, strategize, execute, and report — bringing energy, specificity, and proactive thinking to every account you manage. The agency leverages AI and automation tools to streamline execution, so you will focus your time where it matters most: strategy, results, and client relationships. Your day-to-day will involve:

  • Managing a portfolio of 8–10 client accounts — serving as the primary point of contact for each business owner and taking full accountability for their local search performance and satisfaction.
  • Leading onboarding calls, monthly strategy reviews, and regular check-ins — communicating confidently and authoritatively with business owners who expect specifics, not generalities.
  • Auditing local search presence and building customized SEO strategies — diagnosing performance gaps, identifying growth opportunities, and executing with precision across every account.
  • Optimizing and actively managing Google Business Profiles — including regular posts, photo uploads, Q&A management, review strategy, and ongoing optimization that keeps profiles performing at their peak.
  • Implementing on-site SEO improvements on WordPress websites — including technical fixes, content optimization, internal linking, and metadata updates aligned with local search best practices.
  • Building and maintaining local citations and directory listings — ensuring NAP consistency and citation health across all relevant platforms.
  • Monitoring rankings, traffic, and lead metrics using tools like BrightLocal, Whitespark, GSC, and GA4 — translating data into clear, actionable insights that clients can understand and act on.
  • Supporting social media management for select accounts — contributing to content planning and posting where required alongside the core SEO scope.
  • Staying current on Google algorithm updates and local SEO trends — proactively adjusting strategies before clients feel the impact, not after.
  • Working comfortably with AI and automation tools the agency uses to streamline SEO workflows — embracing technology as a lever for doing more, faster, and better.

What You'll Need:

  • 3–5+ years of hands-on local SEO experience — with a proven track record of driving measurable ranking and traffic improvements for local businesses in a competitive search landscape.
  • Strong expertise in Google Business Profile optimization — you know every lever available and you pull them all consistently, not just when it's convenient.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple client accounts in an agency environment — you hold yourself accountable to results, not just activity.
  • Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills — you speak confidently and intelligently with business owners, give specific actionable recommendations, and never hide behind vague strategy talk.
  • Solid understanding of on-site SEO for local businesses — including WordPress implementation, technical basics, and content optimization.
  • Strong work ethic and proactive mindset — you go beyond the minimum, bring energy to every client interaction, and take initiative without being asked.
  • Availability to work U.S. Central or Eastern Time hours — to effectively serve both East and West Coast clients across the portfolio.
  • Comfortable with AI tools and marketing automation platforms — the agency automates heavily and you need to work efficiently within that environment.
  • Reliable internet connection and a professional remote home office setup.
  • Bonus: experience in the home services or trades industry — HVAC, plumbing, roofing, electrical, or landscaping.
