SAIC is seeking a Senior Security Specialist with an active TS/SCI to provide security, facility, and customer support for a diverse team of government, subcontractor, and SAIC personnel. Complete understanding and wide application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards. Full knowledge of industry practices to include security manager responsibilities. This position is on-site in Arlington, VA.
Daily responsibilities may include:
- Follow and enforce all required security policies, procedures, and compliance integrated by SAIC and Government Team.
- Assist in read-ins/read-outs and onboarding/off-boarding activities when requested.
- Develop solutions to a variety of problems moderate in scope and complexity.
- Understand and implement proper response for security violations and infractions and identify process for handling security incidents.
- Coordinate emergency preparedness efforts.
- Conduct biannual/annual SCIF inspections according to required security policies and procedures.
- Program alarms in classified/unclassified suites.
- Facilitate building operation procedures.
- Assist with changing SCIF combinations and giving alarm activation/deactivation access.
- Keep records/ information updated for guards.
- Receive/distribute mail and packages.
- Place service requests for work orders and follow-up with coordinators and vendors.
- Maintain inventories of key fobs, badges and access control cards.
- Escort contractors and vendors to conduct services within cleared spaces.
- Order supplies through a generated website and stock supplies/merchandise within the suites.
- Oversee a parking garage roster and maintain accuracy.
- Maintain system accounts to process visit requests for unclassified and classified meetings.
- Monitor front desk for real time activities to ensure authorized personnel are entering and exiting the suite.
- Use account to program, issue, and de-activate cards/fobs.
- Coordinate building parking invoices and budget costs.
- Verify clearance information via updated spreadsheets or phone contacts.
- Identify potential indicators of insider threats, tracking, documenting incidents.
- Understand and implement unclassified controlled information and its protective measurements.
- Maintain energy, focus, and diplomatic approach to customer service.
- Coordinate schedule with team lead and management.
- Work reviewed by management to measure meeting objectives.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Demonstrated knowledge of Personnel, Industrial, Operational, Physical Security and Foreign Disclosure programs.
- Excellent Customer Service.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
REQUIRED SECURITY CLEARANCE:
- Active TS/SCI and willingness to take AND ability to pass a polygraph.
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- 5-8 years of relevant work experience with minimum of a High School Diploma.
