Role Overview

The Senior Security Operations Analyst strengthens Nasuni’s enterprise security posture across cloud, endpoint, identity, and collaboration environments.

This is a hands-on role for an experienced security operations professional who independently drives investigations, improves detection fidelity, prioritizes risk, and partners closely with IT to ensure secure enterprise systems.

This role is for someone who:

• Monitor security alerts and alarms and be the first person to review
• Leads investigations from alert to hand-off to IT for resolution
• Makes risk-based escalation decisions
• Improves operational detection quality
• May mentor junior analysts

This role is not:

• A Nasuni product security engineering role, this is a corporate operations security role.
• A people management position

Level & Scope Definition

You will:

• Independently lead complex early-stage security investigations across endpoint, laptops, cloud, identity, and email systems
• Know how to prioritize and escalate incidents to the right leadership teams
• Make triage and prioritization decisions during on-call rotations
• Design and tune SIEM detections to reduce false positives
• Recommend remediation actions to IT and infrastructure teams
• Influence cloud governance improvements across AWS-heavy plus some Azure and GCP environments
• Mentor junior analysts and improve operational playbooks

You will not:

• Own enterprise security strategy
• Manage personnel
• Implement infrastructure remediations directly

Decision Authority Includes:

• Incident severity classification
• Escalation timing
• Detection rule tuning decisions
• Risk-based vulnerability prioritization

Responsibilities

• Lead advanced investigations across EDR, identity, email, and AWS environments
• Drive root cause analysis for critical alerts
• Tune and improve SIEM detection logic (We use Sumo Logic but are open to any prior tool knowledge)
• Improve alert fidelity and reduce false positives
• Support vulnerability lifecycle management through risk-based prioritization
• Partner and collaborate extensively with IT Department to remediate endpoint and cloud security gaps
• Contribute to cloud governance improvements
• Participate in global on-call rotation among teammates
• Document investigation workflows and playbooks

Must-Have Qualifications

• 4–8 years of enterprise security operations experience
• Demonstrated experience independently leading security investigations
• Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms (Nasuni uses Sumo Logic. Splunk, Sentinel, QRadar, or similar)
• Experience investigating alerts from EDR tools (Nasuni uses SentinelOne.  CrowdStrike, Defender, or similar)
• Experience supporting security operations in AWS environments.  Azure and GCP knowledge is a plus.
• Experience communicating security findings and remediation guidance to IT teams
• Experience prioritizing vulnerabilities based on risk

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience tuning detection rules or building SIEM correlation logic
• Exposure to cloud governance or security posture management
• Experience coordinating with MDR providers
• Experience with Azure or GCP security monitoring
• Familiarity with ISO 27001 or SOC 2

Ideal Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience reducing false positives through detection tuning
• Experience leading post-incident reviews
• Experience mentoring junior analysts
• Basic scripting (PowerShell or Python)

Experience Guidelines

• 4–8 years total experience in enterprise security operations
• At least 2+ years supporting SIEM, vulnerability, email security, and cloud-based environments (AWS preferred)
• Experience in distributed enterprise environments with endpoint and identity complexity

Location 

Hyderabad, India 3 Days Onsite (collaborating with a distributed global team).
