As a Senior Sealed System Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of cooling system engineering solutions for refrigeration products. You will drive collaboration with cross-functional teams, leverage technical strategy and best practices, and lead the successful execution of projects. In this role, you will further develop technical subject-matter expertise while contributing significantly to MFT’s growth and innovation.
 

What You’ll Do

  • Actively lead and / or participate in project teams focused on New Product Development, Continuous Product Improvement, or Feature Innovation.

  • Lead the design, testing, and reviews for refrigeration-based sealed systems across all product lines as a functional expert

  • Lead problem solving activities using 8D methodology to identify root cause of issues and oversee development/implementation of a corrective action plan.

  • Utilize mathematical and computer-based engineering analyses to design innovative and reliable solutions for cooling systems across many different product types

  • Develop technical drawings, models, and specifications using engineering software and tools

  • Conduct testing, collect and analyze data, and interpret test results to evaluate the performance, reliability, and safety of engineering solutions

  • Identify areas for improvement, troubleshoot technical issues, and propose and implement design modifications of existing product lines

  • Lead collaboration with cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, project managers, and stakeholders, to ensure project goals are met

  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements, industry trends, and technological innovations in cooling systems, sealed systems, and refrigerated product designs

  • Actively participate in continuous learning and professional development activities, including attending training programs, workshops, and conferences

Skills/Experience We’re Looking For

  • Ice maker refrigeration design and system balancing experience

  • Experience with flammable, low-GWP refrigerants and control system safety.

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of engineering principles and concepts as they relate to sealed systems and cooling methods

  • Proficiency in thermal simulation software

  • Ability to plan and oversee laboratory testing with hands-on approach to prototype development

  • Ability to organize and manage multiple sub-projects in parallel, or multiple system variants in different stages of a project

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work

  • Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to convey technical information clearly

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master's in Engineering or a related field

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in an engineering role

Pay Range:

84,000.00 - 126,000.00
