The Role

About SimCorp

SimCorp is a leading provider of enterprise front-to-back investment management software, trusted by the world's largest and most complex asset managers, asset owners, and sovereign wealth funds.

As part of Deutsche Börse Group, SimCorp offers clients a uniquely integrated ecosystem spanning investment management technology, securities financing, and collateral and liquidity services for investment managers.

Our collateral management and securities financing capabilities combine SimCorp One with direct connectivity to Eurex Repo and Clearstream Securities Services. This integrated proposition delivers a differentiated outcome for buy-side clients seeking to optimise their collateral usage, reduce operational risk, and navigate a rapidly evolving regulatory and market structure landscape.

THE OPPORTUNITY

This is a senior, high-impact commercial role at the centre of one of SimCorp’s most strategically important growth areas. The Senior Sales Specialist – Collateral Management & Securities Financing is responsible for driving global revenue growth in this domain — positioning SimCorp One as the platform of choice for collateral management and securities financing, and orchestrating the full Deutsche Börse Group ecosystem story for institutional clients.

The role requires a rare combination: deep domain expertise in collateral and securities financing, commercial gravitas to engage senior stakeholders at clients, and the entrepreneurial drive to build pipeline, shape strategy, and close complex deals around Securities Financing & Collateral Management. You will serve as a thought leader externally and a subject matter authority internally — partnering across Product, Service Delivery within SimCorp, and the Eurex and Clearstream teams to ensure SimCorp and Deutsche Börse Group win in this space.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Commercial Ownership & Pipeline

  • Own and drive the global sales strategy and pipeline for collateral management and securities financing — across existing SimCorp clients and prospective clients.

  • Lead complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles for collateral management operating model solutions from initial discovery through to closure, working closely with market unit sales and customer success teams.

  • Identify and develop upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing SimCorp clients, particularly around connectivity to Eurex Repo and Clearstream CLLS.

  • Maintain transparent and accurate pipeline reporting; proactively identify deviations from plan and drive corrective action in collaboration with market units, marketing, product management and global sales leadership.

Ecosystem & Cross-Group Collaboration

  • Own the SimCorp narrative for supporting clients across their choice of collateral management operating models, whether run inhouse or outsourced

  • Own the end-to-end solution narrative across SimCorp, Eurex Repo, and Clearstream Securities Services — articulating a cohesive value proposition that spans technology, operations, and market infrastructure.

  • Collaborate closely with Eurex and Clearstream commercial and product teams on joint client opportunities, coordinating across organisations to deliver seamless, compelling proposals.

  • Represent SimCorp at industry forums, client events, and regulatory roundtables relevant to collateral, repo, and securities financing.

Strategy & Product Partnership

  • Contribute to the commercial and functional strategy for SimCorp's collateral management and securities financing offering, acting as the voice of the market internally.

  • Partner with Product Management to shape the roadmap, ensuring client and market feedback informs development priorities.

  • Work with Service Delivery to ensure seamless client onboarding and to identify services opportunities that complement the technology sale.

  • Escalate structural issues — whether commercial, product, or operational — that require leadership attention to protect deal momentum or client outcomes.

Internal Community & Enablement

  • Build internal community within SimCorp and Deutsche Börse Group with shared ownership of the collateral management and securities financing agenda across commercial and functional teams globally.

  • Develop and maintain sales collateral, competitive positioning, and battlecards for the domain.

  • Mentor and support sales and customer success teams in market units on how to position and qualify collateral and securities financing opportunities.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

Essential

  • Minimum 6-8 years of experience in collateral management, securities financing, or closely related domains — with a combination of buy-side operations and enterprise sales exposure.

  • A strong track record of commercial delivery: pipeline ownership, enterprise deal execution, and revenue attainment in a complex B2B software or financial services environment.

  • Deep understanding of buy-side clients' operating models and their key drivers for selecting collateral and securities financing solutions — including regulatory pressures (UMR, EMIR, Basel IV), cost efficiency, and risk management.

  • Fluency across key industry concepts: triparty collateral management, GC Pooling, repo, securities lending, margin management (SIMM, PRISMA), CSA/GMRA, CCP clearing, and IBOR/ABOR.

  • Established senior network across asset managers, asset owners, custodians, CCPs, and/or market infrastructure providers.

  • Exceptional communication skills — able to engage credibly at C-suite and COO level, and to translate complex technical propositions into compelling business cases.

Desirable

  • Direct experience with SimCorp One or comparable IBOR/collateral platforms (e.g. Murex, Calypso, Aladdin), and/or familiarity with Clearstream services (triparty, ISA Direct, ECMS, Select Finance) and Eurex Repo / GC Pooling.

  • Experience working in or alongside a global matrix organisation, with an ability to align stakeholders across business units and geographies; understanding of the broader managed services and outsourcing landscape in investment operations.
