As (Senior) Sales Manager (m/f/d), you will play a key role in driving business growth and expanding Clarios’ presence across EMEA and beyond. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies for our products, solutions, and services with our customers. You will identify and pursue market opportunities, define and implement strategies to maximize content per vehicle, improve margins, and grow market share.

The position will be based in our EMEA Headquarters location in Hanover, Germany.

What you will do

As (Senior) Sales Manager (m/f/d), your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing mainly existing businesses with strong focus on customer support.

  • Prepare and present business cases, strategic recommendations, and management reports to senior leadership.

  • Act as the primary commercial interface between customers and internal stakeholders, including Engineering, Quality, Program Management, Supply Chain, Operations, and Finance.

  • Monitoring market trends, own commercial negotiations, pricing discussions, quotations, and contractual agreements with customers.

  • Lead and coordinate international cross-functional teams without direct disciplinary authority to achieve business objectives and ensure flawless project execution.

  • Executing strategic sales and action plans aligned with business goals and market dynamics, while owning all commercial KPIs and leading negotiations for assigned OEM customers.

  • Influence strategic customer relationships with leading Tier-1 automotive suppliers in close collaboration with Business Development and Engineering teams.

  • Representing Clarios at Tier 1 customer events as well as at industry events occasionally.

  • Strengthen brand visibility, foster relationships, and generate new business opportunities.

What makes you a good fit

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, Economics, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing Tier-1 automotive customers within an automotive OE environment.

  • Proven experience in Key Account Management, Sales Management, or Business Development of technical products and solutions.

  • Demonstrated success in leading and influencing cross-functional teams without direct reporting authority

  • Strong business and financial acumen with the ability to manage revenue, profitability, margin, and growth objectives.

  • Experience negotiating complex commercial agreements and customer contracts.

  • Ability to perform effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced international environment.

  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take ownership of key initiatives.

  • Fluency in English spoken and written; additional languages are a plus.

  • High willingness to travel (up to 30%) and thrive in an international business environment.

  • Self-driven, proactive, and structured personality with a strong sense of ownership and commercial acumen.
