This position is a sales role designed to accelerate growth of the specialty elastomers business in the Japanese market. Focusing on liquid silicone rubber (Liquid Silicone Rubber), custom compounds, and millable silicone rubber, the role is responsible for value-based sales initiatives targeting the consumer appliances, automotive, electronics, and healthcare industries. By working closely with key customers and major accounts in Japan, the role goes beyond simple product sales to deliver total solutions that integrate materials, technologies, and applications. Through this approach, the position drives profitable business expansion and increases market share. In addition, the role contributes to the sustainable growth of the specialty elastomers business in Japan by leading day-to-day sales activities, managing sales forecasting and demand planning, and developing and executing growth strategies.Responsibilities Include:

職務内容:
自動車、ヘルスケア、電子機器、家電といった成長市場において、主要顧客・キーアカウントと密接に連携し、製品販売にとどまらない価値提案型・ソリューション営業を推進します。
売上予測、需要管理、フォーキャスト策定を含む日本市場の日常的な商業活動を主体的にマネジメントし、短期・中長期の成長戦略およびアカウント戦略の立案・実行を担います。
複数の成長イニシアチブや新規ビジネス機会を同時並行で推進しながら、新規顧客・新用途の開拓と、既存顧客との関係深化の両立を図ります。
特に自動車およびヘルスケア分野において、顧客課題を起点としたトータルソリューション(材料・技術・用途)の提案を通じて、長期的なパートナーシップを構築します。
国内外の技術サービス、マーケティング、研究開発チームと緊密に連携し、顧客ニーズをグローバルに展開・具現化するハブとして機能し、日本市場での競争力と市場シェアの向上に貢献します。
As a growth driver of the specialty elastomers business in the Japanese market, this role leads the penetration, expansion, and diversification of the business, with a focus on liquid silicone rubber (LSR), custom compounds, and millable silicone rubber, delivering sustainable growth across volume, margin, and profit.
In high-growth markets such as automotive, healthcare, electronics, and consumer appliances, the position works closely with key customers and strategic accounts to drive value-based, solution-oriented sales that go beyond product supply.
The role proactively manages day-to-day commercial activities in Japan, including sales forecasting, demand management, and commercial planning, while developing and executing short-term and mid- to long-term growth strategies and account strategies.
By advancing multiple growth initiatives and new business opportunities in parallel, the position balances new customer and application development with the deepening of existing customer relationships.
Particularly within the automotive and healthcare sectors, the role builds long-term partnerships by delivering total solutions—integrating materials, technologies, and applications—based on a deep understanding of customer challenges.
Acting as a central hub, the position collaborates closely with global and regional technical service, marketing, and R&D teams to translate customer needs into actionable solutions, strengthening competitiveness and expanding market share in the Japanese market.
The following are required for the role
Minimum Qualifications:
- 学士号以上
- 化学系営業もしくは、技術系メーカーの営業経験5年以上 (※純粋な営業専業でなくても可。技術寄り・マーケ寄り経験も歓迎)
- 日本語:ネイティブレベル
- 英語:業務上の読み書きおよび簡単な会話が可能なレベル
- 日本国内での出張が可能な方
- 5+ business experience after getting degree (bachelor degree or above)
- Minimum 5 years of previous chemical sales or sales in technical company.
- Native in Japanese and basic level of English.
- Ability to travel frequently within the given territory.
Preferred Qualifications:
自動車またはヘルスケア業界向けの営業(長期顧客関係の理解)
ゴム/エラストマー/高分子材料(LSR、HCR、カスタムコンパウンド等)の取扱い経験
顧客・技術サービス・マーケティング・研究開発など社内外ステークホルダーと連携し、ビジネスを前に進めた経験
価値提案型(ソリューション志向)の営業・アカウントマネジメント経験
Sales experience in Automotive or Healthcare industry, having mindset of building long-term relationships between customers.
Experienced in Rubber/Elastomer/Polymer materials(LSR, HCR, Custom Compound).
Experience driving business forward by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, technical services, marketing, and R&D.
Experience in value-proposal-based (solution-oriented) sales and account management.
