What You Will Do
- Serve as the senior technical advisor for key accounts, driving full-lifecycle presales engagement—from technical qualification to solution design and technical win.
- Identify complex customer security challenges and build tailored solutions using Sophos’ cybersecurity portfolio and platform, with emphasis on MDR, XDR, Firewall incident response preparedness, and proactive risk reduction.
- Conduct cyber presales customer posture assessments and articulate measurable security improvements, threat detection maturity and return on security investment.
- Maintain technical stakeholder and Security Manager up to C-Level relationships to align Sophos solutions with strategic security outcomes.
- Lead executive briefings, workshops, demonstrations, proof-of-concepts (POCs) and solution walkthroughs to accelerate technical buy-in.
- Enable partners on Sophos technologies to elevate technical capabilities and drive joint opportunity development.
- Provide input into territory channel strategy, working with sales to co-develop go-to-market strategies with focus partners, MSSPs and distributors to support demand generation and solution selling into enterprise, midmarket, and commercial segments.
- Support channel-led engagements with advanced solution architecture, bid support, and customer-facing expertise.
- Contribute to account and territory planning alongside sales counterparts, ensuring alignment across technical and commercial strategies.
- Share field insights with Product Management and Marketing to influence roadmap evolution and messaging alignment.
- Represent Sophos at regional events, conferences, and strategic customer forums.
What You Will Bring
- 8+ years of experience in a technical presales or solution architect role in cybersecurity, with proven leadership in customer and partner engagements.
- Strong domain knowledge in:
- MDR, EDR/XDR, and SIEM/SOAR solutions
- Incident Response planning and frameworks
- Risk assessment and mitigation strategies
- Network and endpoint security architecture
- Hands-on experience with security operations, threat detection techniques, and managed security services.
- Strong knowledge of security protocols, threat landscape trends, and compliance frameworks (e.g., MITRE ATT&CK, NIST CIS).
- Technical depth in Windows, Linux, Active Directory, and network security (L2–L7).
- Experience with solution positioning against competitive vendors in endpoint, firewall, and cloud security.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence both technical and executive stakeholders.
- Relevant cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, GIAC, Microsoft Security, AWS Security and similar)
- Prior experience supporting or delivering cybersecurity assessments, maturity reviews, or executive-level risk briefings.
