About MedTech World

Launched in 2020, MedTech World began as a bold initiative to position Malta as a bridge connecting startups, investors, service providers, and thought leaders across the Medical and HealthTech space. Five years on, we have grown into a genuinely global platform with operations spanning Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Asia.

We now run four summits, across four continents, in four quarters. Each event brings together the most important voices in MedTech and HealthTech to move the industry forward, and we are growing fast.

To drive our North American growth, we are looking for a commercially experienced, well-connected, and self-driven sales professional who can open doors, close deals, and work hand-in-hand with our wider team to build something exceptional.

The Role

As Senior Sales and Partnerships Manager, North America, you will be a key commercial driver across the US and Canadian markets. This is a hands-on role built for someone who brings real experience, knows how to operate independently, and is ready to take genuine ownership of a region.

You will be generating pipeline, closing sponsors and partners, and working closely with the CEO and the wider sales and partnerships team. Your work will have a direct and visible impact on the business from day one.

Location:

Remote. Open to candidates across the US and Canada, provided they are eligible to work in their country of residence.

Role Description / What you'll Do.

  • Drive revenue across MedTech World's sponsorship, exhibition, and partnership offerings for the US and Canadian markets, covering all four annual summits.
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of sponsors, institutional partners, hospital systems, government bodies, and corporate exhibitors from within the North American MedTech and HealthTech ecosystem.
  • Lead the full sales cycle independently, from prospecting and outreach through to proposal, negotiation, and close.
  • Develop tailored commercial proposals that match sponsor and partner objectives to MedTech World's event portfolio.
  • Represent MedTech World at industry events, conferences, and networking forums across North America to build brand presence and generate leads.
  • Work closely with the partnerships and marketing teams to ensure a seamless experience for sponsors and partners before, during, and after each event.
  • Provide regular pipeline reports, revenue forecasts, and market intelligence to the leadership team.
  • Identify and pursue new commercial opportunities across the region, including health system innovation arms, venture funds, accelerators, trade associations, and federal and state government bodies.

What You Will Bring

Proven track record in senior sales or business development within the events, MedTech, HealthTech, or life sciences sectors.

A strong existing network across the US and Canadian MedTech, HealthTech, or healthcare innovation ecosystem that you can activate from day one.

The ability to work independently without day-to-day direction, while remaining a strong and collaborative team player.

Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles and closing high-value commercial agreements.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.

Comfort operating across multiple time zones and markets simultaneously.

Willingness to travel across North America and internationally for events and client meetings.

Experience with CRM platforms and a disciplined approach to pipeline management.

You Will Thrive in This Role If You Are:

  • Commercially sharp, with a proven instinct for identifying opportunities, building pipeline, and closing deals without needing direction.
  • A natural relationship builder, someone who genuinely enjoys the process of earning trust with senior stakeholders, sponsors, and partners over time.
  • A confident and credible communicator, comfortable representing MedTech World in rooms with C-suite executives, investors, hospital leaders, and government bodies.
  • Proactive and self-directed, you spot commercial opportunities before they are pointed out and move on them quickly.
  • Energized by the MedTech and HealthTech space, whether through prior experience or a genuine passion for where healthcare and innovation meet.
  • Comfortable with variety and pace, no two weeks look the same across four summits, four continents, and a fast-moving team.
  • Ambitious, you want to grow into a VP of Sales or Chief Commercial Officer role as MedTech World scales, and you see this as the platform to get there.
  • A background in MedTech, HealthTech, life sciences, events, or B2B sales within a high-growth environment is a strong advantage. That said, a strong existing network, commercial instinct, and the drive to build something matter more than any single credential.
  • This role is not the right fit if you are looking for a structured corporate sales environment with long approval chains, prefer inbound-only pipeline, or are not comfortable working autonomously across multiple markets simultaneously.

What Success Looks Like?

  • The North American market is a consistent and growing revenue contributor across all four MedTech World summits, with a strong pipeline of sponsors, partners, and exhibitors closing quarter on quarter.
  • Key relationships across the US and Canadian MedTech, HealthTech, investor, and institutional ecosystem are owned and deepened, with MedTech World recognised as the go-to platform for the region.
  • The CEO and leadership team have full visibility across North American pipeline, forecasts, and deal progress without needing to chase updates.
  • Sponsors and partners secured through North America are returning year on year, with satisfaction and renewal rates that reflect a high-quality commercial relationship.
  • You have built trust, expanded your scope, and are on a clear path toward VP of Sales or Chief Commercial Officer as MedTech World scales.

Growth Opportunity:

This role is intentionally designed as a launchpad. High performers will be considered for progression into a VP of Sales or Chief Commercial Officer position as MedTech World continues to scale globally. You will earn real commercial ownership quickly, expanding your scope across markets, summits, and revenue lines alongside the business.

Ready to help shape healthcare?

If you are driven by impact, excited by international travel, and ready to take your commercial career to another level, we would love to meet you.

Apply now and help bring the MedTech World vision to life across North America.
