🚀 The Vision: Building the Operating System for Product Creation

Since 2013, THE/STUDIO has been building the definitive operating system for product creation. We are combining modern SaaS technology with custom manufacturing to make producing physical goods as seamless, fast, and scalable as launching software.

We operate two core platforms: Customize Now (our best-in-class, on-demand manufacturing platform) and Source Anything (our new SaaS product that enables customers to seamlessly work with global factories beyond our own network).

We are a profitable, previously Silicon Valley-backed, fully remote company, and we are not just looking to improve manufacturing, we are looking for a visionary operator to help us truly revolutionize the global supply chain.

💻 The Role

You will own paid acquisition on Google and Meta, and you will own the result: new-customer revenue at a CAC the business can afford. Not “your campaigns”. The account, the audience, the creative, the landing page brief, the tracking check and the revenue report are all yours.

Two jobs in one. Scale and sharpen a large Google Ads account that already runs on automated bidding. And build Meta from the first campaign: account structure, testing framework, and a system for coming up with and producing creatives.

We do not want a buyer who waits for creatives, or a creative who cannot read a P&L. We want someone who finds the insight in a customer review on Monday, ships five ads built on it by Wednesday, and kills four of them by next week with numbers they can defend.

AI is how you do this alone. Work that used to need a media buyer, a researcher, a designer and an analyst should run through you and your AI workflows.

Why This Role Is Exciting:
  • Direct Access to Leadership: You will have the opportunity to work directly with our CEO and executive team, giving you high visibility, direct mentorship, and a seat at the table.

  • Product & Strategic Influence: We operate with flat hierarchies. Your daily insights from the ground level will directly shape our product roadmap, workflows, and company strategy.

  • Rapid Scale & Career Trajectory: We are growing rapidly. Joining us right now means high autonomy, minimal red tape, and massive room for personal and professional acceleration.

🎯 What You’ll Do
  • Google Ads: run and grow a $100k+/month account across Search, PMax, Shopping and YouTube. Get the most out of value-based bidding by feeding it the right signals: conversion values from the CRM, new vs returning customers, margin where we have it

  • Meta from zero: design the account structure, set up the testing framework, and build the ideation-to-production line for creatives. Then scale what works

  • Audience mining: find who actually buys from us and why. Build targeting from our own data: CRM segments by value and product, customer lists, search terms, PMax audience signals, value-based lookalikes. Know when to go broad and let the creative do the targeting, and when that fails

  • Insight mining: dig through reviews (ours and competitors’), sales call transcripts, support tickets, forums and competitor ads. Turn what customers say into angles, in their own words

  • Creative ideation: run a steady flow of new concepts, each built on a stated insight and a hypothesis. Angle, hook, format, then iterations on the winners. Judge creatives by angle and hook, not only by ad

  • Creative production with AI: produce statics, UGC-style video and motion with AI. Brief our designer when a human hand is needed

  • Unit economics: know the CAC we can pay per product and market, and set bids, budgets and targets from it, not from platform ROAS

  • Incrementality and attribution: design holdout, geo or lift tests when the money at stake justifies it. Treat attribution as a tool for decisions, and say where it is blind

  • Testing: one hypothesis, one primary metric, enough budget and time to read it. Log every test, win or lose

  • Tracking: check that conversions reach the platforms correctly (GA4, GTM, CAPI, offline conversions) and flag what breaks

  • Specialists: spot early when results depend on something outside your direct scope: server-side tracking, landing page CRO, video production, feed management, localisation. Come with a proposal: who to bring in (freelancer or agency), the brief, the cost and what it should change. Then manage them to the result

  • New channels: we plan to test channels beyond Google and Meta. Come with a clear launch approach for each: why this channel for our customers, what to test first, the budget and time needed to get a readable result, how it is tracked to revenue, and when to kill it or scale it

  • Reporting: weekly spend, new customers, CAC and revenue by channel, with the source and definition of every number.

💡 The Profile We’re Looking For (Our Core Pillars)

Our CEO defines our top performers by three distinct traits. If this describes how you operate, you will thrive here:

  1. Raw Intelligence & Problem-Solving: High processing power, business acumen, and logical reasoning. You can think on your feet, connect complex ideas, and break down ambiguous problems quickly.

  2. "Give a Shit" Energy (Extreme Ownership): You take 100% accountability for your domain and outcomes. You don't make excuses or blame external factors. You look inward, find solutions, and push across the finish line.

  3. Rapid Adaptation & Radical Candor: You embrace blunt, constructive feedback and pivot instantly without ego. You excel in a fast-moving environment where you need to act with urgency without waiting for hand-holding.

Requirements:
  • 5+ years of hands-on paid acquisition. You built and ran the accounts yourself

  • You have personally managed $50k+ a month on Google Ads and know automated bidding well: tROAS, tCPA, value-based bidding, PMax. You know when it fails and why

  • You have built a Meta account from scratch, not only inherited one

  • Unit economics is how you think: margin, AOV, LTV, payback, break-even CAC. This is mandatory

  • You have optimised toward new-customer revenue, not all conversions

  • You build audiences from first-party data and research, and can show where your best audience came from

  • You come up with creative concepts yourself, and can trace each winner back to the customer insight behind it. Bring a portfolio

  • You have run or read incrementality tests and can explain what attribution windows and models hide

  • You can explain how a sale in the CRM gets back to Google and Meta, and what breaks on the way

  • You have hired, briefed and managed freelancers or agencies on your own initiative, because the result needed it, not because someone told you to

  • You have launched at least one new paid channel from zero and can walk us through how you decided it worked or did not

  • Campaigns for a product sold across several countries

  • English level: C1/C2

The AI-first bar

We will ask you to show this, not tell it.

  • You use AI daily for research: reviews, call transcripts, competitor ads, search terms

  • You generate creatives with image and video models and know which model fits which job

  • You use AI to build custom reports and visualisations from raw data, instead of waiting for an analyst or a BI dashboard

  • You have workflows, prompts or agents that save you hours every week, and you can show one

  • You know where AI output is wrong and check it before it ships

Nice-to-have
  • 1-2 years in a performance agency

  • E-commerce, custom products, merch or print-on-demand

  • A funnel that mixes self-serve checkout and sales-led deals

  • Server-side tracking, HubSpot or Pipedrive

  • Microsoft Ads or LinkedIn Ads

What we offer
  • A real budget and the freedom to spend it well

  • A Head of Marketing who still works in the accounts and will argue with you about attribution

  • Tracking we are fixing properly, so your results get measured right

  • Your call on tools and AI subscriptions

💰 Compensation & Terms
  • Flexible & Competitive: We offer competitive, outcome-driven compensation packages tailored to the candidate's level of impact.

  • Engagement Type: Full-time, exclusive independent contractor role.

The Company
HQ: Pasadena, CA

Year Founded: 2014

What We Do

We are building a company that could be equivalent in scale and relevance to Amazon. Sounds like an exaggeration — but let us explain how we view the market. Amazon and ecommerce in general have completely disrupted the "last mile" — from ordering products to getting those products delivered. But the "first mile" in the supply chain, where the product is actually produced, hasn’t changed in over a hundred years. In spite of that, its value is immense and only keeps growing. Fashion manufacturing alone is a $1.2Tn space. We're building an on-demand manufacturing platform that meets the needs of the 21st century and a social media economy. We bootstrapped our way to a $15M run rate and just closed a $10M Series A with a top-tier Silicon Valley VC. We believe we can create enormous value and literally change the world by making manufacturing accessible to everyone.
