Senior Ruby on Rails Engineer - Octopus / Procore

As a Senior Ruby on Rails Engineer at Robusta, you will be at the forefront of building innovative web applications for our diverse clientele. You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions that drive business success. Your expertise in Ruby on Rails will be pivotal in shaping our projects and mentoring junior team members to achieve their best.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain high-quality web applications using Ruby on Rails.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Troubleshoot and optimize application performance and reliability.
• Conduct code reviews and maintain coding standards within the team.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of continuous learning.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance our development processes.

What we are looking for:

• Strong experience with Ruby on Rails and a solid understanding of its principles.
• At least 5 years of professional software development experience.
• Experience in developing RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services.
• Knowledge of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks.
• Familiarity with database systems, preferably PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Experience in Agile methodologies and a passion for collaborative development.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities in a remote setting.
• Experience mentoring junior developers is a plus.
