Senior RTR Accountant

Your role 

As an RTR Senior Accountant within our GBS Finance organization, you will be a key contributor to the delivery of high-quality financial reporting and compliance activities for our international entities. Beyond core Record-to-Report responsibilities, you will act as a subject matter expert, support process improvements, and provide guidance to less experienced team members.  

In your daily work you will be responsible for: 

• coordinating month-end and year-end closing activities and ensuring timely delivery of reporting requirements  

• preparing and processing journal entries, including accruals, provisions and complex accounting adjustments  

• reconciling general ledger accounts and investigating complex accounting issues  

• performing fixed assets accounting, payroll accounting and VAT-related activities  

• executing standard RTR processes including FX valuation, cost allocation, depreciation and reclassifications  

• preparing bridge files and supporting variance analysis between reporting periods 

• preparing financial statements for small holding companies, ensuring completeness, accuracy and compliance with reporting requirements 

• coordinating and submitting statistical surveys and regulatory reporting 

• supporting and coordinating internal and external audit activities, including preparation of documentation and explanations 

• leading or participating in projects focused on process optimization, standardization and automation

Your background 

Key ingredients for succeeding in this role are: 

• 3+ years of professional experience in finance and accounting  

• hands-on General Ledger / RTR experience  

• university degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field  

• experience with financial statement preparation, statutory reporting or audit support would be a strong advantage 

• strong analytical and problem-solving skills 

• excellent communication and stakeholder management skills  

• English language proficiency  

• advanced Excel skills 

• SAP/Oracle knowledge is an advantage  

• ability to work independently, prioritize effectively and take ownership of complex topics
