The Role
About this role:
This position is part of the CAnDO Reporting team, which supports a broad range of unsecured Consumer Lending products-including Cards, Co-Brand Cards, Retail Services, Personal Loans, Flex, Small Business, Auto, Home Lending, and Merchant Services.
We are seeking a Senior Risk Analytics Consultant (Senior Assistant Vice President) with at least 4+ years of experience in automating data sourcing, sampling, loading, and reporting processes to support risk analytics. This is an individual contributor role focused on delivering data-driven insights and analytical solutions for high-priority business initiatives.
In this role, you will:
  • Lead or participate in moderately complex initiatives, and delivering insight and decision strategies within analytics and reporting, and contribute to large-scale planning related to Risk Analytics
  • Review and analyze moderately complex data aggregation, forecasting, reporting, and programming models
  • Be responsible for process production, data reconciliation, and model documentation in alignment with policy governance
  • Resolve data, production, business modeling, and lead team to meet Risk Analytics deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of risk reporting policies, modeling strategies, procedures, regulatory requests, and compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, experienced managers, compliance, and technology to resolve modeling, forecasting, and production issues, and achieve analytic and reporting goals
  • Lead projects, teams, and mentor less experienced staff
  • Partner with cross enterprise risk analysts in development of common modeling strategies
Required Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of Risk Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge on Unsecured Consumer lending products - Cards, Co-Brand, Retail and Personal loans.
  • Good knowledge of Acquisitions, Account management and Collections functions on Unsecured Lending products.
  • Good understanding of Autosys automation tool, coordinate with execution team for setting up or updating the Job schedules
  • Monitor Job schedule in automation tool, perform route cause analysis and fix the Job failures within given SLA's
AI-Driven Solutioning & Automation
  • Proven ability to develop and implement AI-based automation to enhance data accuracy and reduce manual effort across reporting and risk analytics workflows.
  • Experience leveraging Generative AI to extract actionable insights, automate report generation, and support strategic decision-making in risk analytics.
Executive-Level Reporting & Presentation
  • Demonstrated success in creating executive-level dashboards, analytics, and reports using advanced visualization tools.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex findings into strategic imperatives for senior stakeholders.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Builds and maintains trust-based relationships with staff, business partners, and stakeholders.
  • Effective in team environments and across organizational levels, showing flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability.
  • Skilled in negotiation and coordination, contributing to strategic decisions and managing multiple stakeholder inputs.
Domain Knowledge & Business Acumen
  • Understanding credit card lending practices, policies, and procedures, with the ability to quickly learn business aspects and prioritize across projects.
Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills
  • Outstanding analytical capabilities with a track record of turning insights into strategic actions.
Job Expectations:
  • Develop and maintain automated reporting pipelines and dashboards.
  • Optimize and audit reports for accuracy, performance, and user experience.
  • Translate complex datasets into meaningful visualizations using SAS, SQL, Tableau, Viya, Power BI, or ThoughtSpot.
  • Continuously improve reporting capabilities by adopting new visualization features and best practices.
  • Identify trends, patterns, and insights from complex datasets to provide actionable recommendations.
  • Recommend improvements to performance, processes, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor and maintain reporting systems for accuracy and efficiency.
  • Perform root-cause analysis on data discrepancies and inconsistencies.
  • Encourage automation and streamlining using GenAI.
  • Understand and work with SOR systems and data flow architecture populating risk DataMarts.
  • Collect and combine structured and unstructured data from various sources.
  • Ensure adherence to data governance, compliance, and legal regulations.
  • Apply knowledge of unsecured Consumer Lending Products
  • Leverage expertise in Acquisition, Account Management, Collections, and Loss Forecasting models.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in the U.S. and India to gather requirements and deliver insights.
  • Work with credit/product groups and external vendors to manage new account decisions.
  • Strategically consult with peers and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
  • Partner with U.S. stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver solutions.
  • Support report redesign, KPI automation, and integration of advanced tools.
  • Prioritize work effectively, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines independently.
