We are hiring for Dragonpay Corporation, established in 2010 as a pioneer in alternative payments in the Philippines. Today, as a Xendit company, Dragonpay combines its strong local coverage with Southeast Asiaʼs leading payment infrastructure. This integration gives our partners a next-generation financial infrastructure and direct gateway to a broader regional distribution allowing them to scale in multiple markets seamlessly.

What You’ll Do

This role goes beyond detecting risk and performing KYC. As a Senior Risk Analyst, you will conduct comprehensive, end-to-end investigations by gathering and analyzing information from multiple sources to assess merchant transactions, identify fraud and financial crime risks, and determine the overall risk profile of merchants.

Using strong analytical and investigative skills, you will deliver evidence-based risk assessments and actionable recommendations that support informed business decisions while ensuring compliance with established policies and risk controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review the Trigger: Begin by understanding why the case was flagged. What triggered the alert?
  • Gather Relevant Information: Collect and analyze all available data related to the merchant or transaction. What do the available records reveal?
  • Verify the Merchant (KYC/CDD/EDD): Conduct these procedures to verify the merchant's legitimacy and identify any inconsistencies.
  • Perform Sanctions and Watchlist Screening: Determine whether a potential match is genuine or a false positive by screening against international sanctions lists, Politically Exposed Persons (PEP) lists, adverse media, internal blacklists, and regulatory watchlists.
  • Analyze Transaction Behavior: Look for unusual patterns rather than isolated events. Does the transaction behavior align with the merchant's business model? Is it consistent with historical activity?
  • Assess Overall Risk: Evaluate the complete picture and determine whether the merchant or activity presents a low, medium, or high level of risk.
  • Document Findings and Make Recommendations: Prepare clear, well-documented, evidence-based case reports and provide actionable recommendations to support sound risk decisions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, IT, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in risk, fraud, or financial crime investigations.
  • Proficiency in transaction monitoring and case management systems.
  • Strong analytical, investigative, and detail-oriented skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with senior management and external stakeholders.
  • Willing to work on-site in Marikina City.

Please note: Only candidates who successfully pass our initial resume screening will be contacted for the next stage of the recruitment process. If you're invited to an initial interview, we encourage you to take some time to learn about our industry and the role you're applying for. Doing so will help you better demonstrate your relevant knowledge, skills, and experience during the interview.
