KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Bain Capital’s Research & Market Data Services (RDS) team is seeking a Senior Research Associate to provide spectrum of data, research and information services to investment professionals across our global offices. The role requires deep collaboration with internal and external research partners, a high level of creativity, problem solving, attention to detail and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Research projects may be loosely defined with a heavy focus on data sourcing, third party source evaluations, and due diligence on potential investments.

Research Services:

• Provide direct research support to deal teams using a variety of sources and deliver results in a clear and actionable format in a deadline-oriented environment.
• Work proactively with RDS colleagues to anticipate ongoing information needs, identifying opportunities for research collaboration and delivery best in class research services.
• Identify, evaluate, and build partnerships with key third-party sources to support research for potential and current investments.
• Serve as a lead on specific projects to further improve data, research and information services delivered across the firm.
• Collaborate with key stake holders and business partners (Legal, Compliance, IT, Vendor Risk, Finance, IR, etc.) to support operational requirements around the delivery of research services.
• Develop knowledge and expertise in a particular research topic area and/or industry sector.
• Other projects as assigned.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 5+ years of experience in a financial services, consulting, or other corporate fast-paced research environment. Graduate degree desired preferred but not required.
• Demonstrate competency and creativity in conducting complex research inquiries. Experience using primary and secondary research sources and techniques for due diligence.
• Possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated with proven ability to effectively work in a diverse team environment.
• Strong service orientation and demonstrated ability to improve processes.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and follow-through in a rapidly changing work environment.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with internal business partners.
• Interest or experience working with GenAI in research processes desired.
• Eager to learn.
