Our analysts engage in creative, rigorous and long-term strategic analysis that is the basis for all portfolio decisions. We serve clients globally, with research coverage across developed, emerging and frontier markets and our teams are based in offices including New York, London, Tokyo, Shanghai, Taipei, Sydney and Hong Kong.
This role is a Technology research analyst supporting the US Growth Equities team which includes the US Large Cap Growth portfolio, Relative Value portfolio, and related strategies.
What You’ll Do:
Conduct fundamental analyses aimed at understanding the economic truth of businesses on publicly listed companies involved in the technology sector with a focus on (but not limited to) software companies.
Create long-term focused financial projections and valuation scenario analyses based on a DCF framework for the companies under coverage.
Willing to take accountability for investment recommendations based on the above, and in the best interests of AB’s clients.
Willing to work collaboratively with other analysts and PMs on the team to further the research objective, especially the team's senior semiconductor analyst given the dynamism and convergence trends in technology.
Assist with production of marketing and client communication materials.
Uphold AB’s fiduciary obligations, adhere to the Code of Conduct and uphold AB’s reputation as a representative with clients and in the broader industry.
Promote an appropriate diversity and inclusion culture in the firm.
Collaborate with ESG analyst and AB’s Responsible Investing team to actively consider and evaluate, the environmental, social, and governance impact of the companies we invest in.
What We’re Looking For:
At least 7 years’ experience analyzing the US technology sector with a prior knowledge of software companies.
Be analytical, inquisitive and highly motivated to achieve, with a record of outstanding academic and professional success
Possess strong problem solving and math skills, including a high degree of comfort modelling in MS Excel and significant experience in interpreting financial statements
Have strong oral and written communication skills
Be able to work independently with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Demonstrate an appreciation for companies' deployment and returns on capital
Exhibit a passion for investing and willingness to take intelligent risk

In accordance with applicable law, the minimum and maximum base annual salary for this role is as follows:
Base Salary Range: $300,000-$300,000
Actual base salaries may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors. Base salary is just one component of total compensation at AB, which may include, depending on eligibility, commissions, year-end incentive compensation, short- and long-term incentives and Department-specific awards. In addition AB provides a variety of benefits to eligible employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, sick and vacation time off
