We are seeking a seasoned Asean Financials Equity Research Analyst to join our team in Singapore. This role offers the opportunity to directly cover Financials stocks across multiple Asean markets with a primary focus on Singapore as well as Singapore Strategy. The ideal candidate will possess extensive industry knowledge, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate investment recommendations effectively to global institutional investors.
Key Areas of ResponsibilitiesDemonstrate deep industry knowledge of the Financials sector within Asean markets.
Conduct primary research coverage of a range of Financials companies across selected Asean countries (exact markets dependant on candidate).
Interpret data and perform analysis on market, economic, and financial trends, as well as sub-sector and company developments.
Publish regular reports on the Financials industry and companies under coverage.
Build, maintain, and update financial models for covered companies.
Develop and maintain relationships with institutional investor clients and corporate entities.
Respond to requests from external clients and internal stakeholders, including sales and trading teams.
Communicate research findings and investment recommendations in both written and verbal form to global institutional investors.
Engage frequently with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for research initiatives.
Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance/Economics or a related discipline
Minimum 9 years of experience in equity research (sell-side or buy-side), the financial services industry, strategic planning, or similar roles.
Strong industry knowledge of the Financials sector, particularly within Asean markets.
Thorough understanding of financial statement analysis and equity valuation frameworks.
CFA and CPA designations are a plus.
Fluent in English
Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
