The Relationship Management Coordinator plays an important role in supporting the business development efforts of the Relationship Managers through sales support and research activities of prospects and clients. Through continual hands on training and support/direction from manager, the Relationship Management Coordinator is expected to proactively study the Investor Services industry and the BBH sales, relationship management, and operational processes, with the intention of assuming the role of a Relationship Manager in time. The Relationship Management Coordinator plays an important role in the research and presentation of BBH practices, data and trends to assist in the completion of Request for Proposal documents.         

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Sales Support and Relationship Management

  • Assist with sales/relationship management efforts
  • Assist in the preparation of detailed proposals for Investor Services products
  • Prepare responses to requests for information and proposals for review by Relationship Manager
  • Attend client meetings and calls with Relationship Managers

Research and Analysis

  • Identify, recommend and create new tools for defining prospects
  • Under supervision, create pro-forma profitability and revenue projections for new business bids for existing and new clients
  • Conduct and present detailed market and specific company research, including detailed profiling of prospects’ businesses to identify current service providers, estimates of current fees, and product details for review by Relationship Manager
  • Remain knowledgeable of changing industry initiatives
  • Various other ad hoc assignments, including financial modeling with direction from manager

Relationship Support

  • Responsible for creating, editing and monitoring all client account documentation within the team
  • Supports various ad hoc projects to document legal and operational requirements of clients
  • Produces all client and prospect presentations
  • Coordinates all client events
  • Assists Relationship Managers with the execution of the deliverables on the client's relationship plan as required

Planning and Strategy

  • Contribute to strategic planning and special projects by gathering information on market segments and clients as part of the sales and relationship plan

REQUIREMENTS:

  • BS/BA required, or equivalent work experience
  • 2 to 3 years of Corporate Planning/Strategy experience
  • 2 to 3 years global custody or related industry experience is preferred
  • Native level Japanese, Business level English (able to handle basic communication in English)
  • Familiarity with Financial Institutions (banks primarily and mutual funds) a plus
  • Communication skills with demonstrated presentation skills and excellent writing ability (writing sample required)
  • Strict attention to detail with proven ability to see open issues through to resolution
  • Ability to interact in a professional manner at all levels, both internally and externally to BBH
  • Ability to juggle several duties and troubleshoot while maintaining an upbeat personality
  • Ability to quickly learn new about new products/materials
