About the Role:
The Claims Department of Everest Reinsurance is looking for a Claims Examiner to join our London office. The appointment will reinforce our commitment to providing clients and distribution partners with best-in-class claims solutions. The successful client will be managing a broad claims portfolio of various classes of business.
The role requires an innovative and inquisitive mindset to contribute to the continuous improvement of our working practices and to add to our analytical capabilities.
This position will be based in our London office with a hybrid schedule that has the option of working two days remotely each week.
Role & Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

Work closely with the London based claims team, the International claims team and within the broader global reinsurance claims division.

Support the Underwriting team in market studies and client visits.

Work closely with the Actuarial team.

Participate in due diligences as part of a cross-functional transaction team.

Adjust reinsurance claims within policy terms and market business practices, in line with Everest Re policy and designated handling authority.

Contribute to the development of the claims function.
Qualifications:
-
Engagement in continuous personal and professional development activities including but not limited to undertaking relevant exams (e.g ACII, CILA, etc).
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:
-
Broad cross class claims handling experience in either Reinsurance or Insurance.

Open to a broad range of claims backgrounds.
-
Experience using ECF2/Class/Writeback systems will be beneficial.

Detailed understanding of general insurance principles.

Experience of handling claims in UK, European or International legal systems.

Capable of working independently as part of a broader integrated claims team.

Strong numerical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Attention to detail.
