The Pension Risk Transfer (PRT) market is a growing and vibrant part of Prudential Retirement’s Retirement Strategies team. The PRT Reimbursement Team is in search of the right candidate to bring their knowledge and experience to the role of Senior Reimbursement & Reconciliation Specialist.
The PRT Reimbursement Team is responsible for administering all aspects of PRT contracts that include a reimbursement arrangement, whereby the contract holder or a paying agent for the contract holder makes payments directly to payees on Prudential’s behalf. Each month, Prudential reimburses the client or paying agent for the total amount of the benefits paid.
The current employee work arrangement for this position is hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring basis as determined by your business. Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site.
What you can expect:
-
Preparing monthly bank wires or checks to clients under a reimbursement arrangement.

Creating a monthly invoice for insurers who are parties under a co-insured contract.

Finding ways to create an efficient, accurate, and seamless experience for the Reimbursement team and the client.

Participating in projects as needed

Ensuring completion of monthly, often complex, reconciliations of annuitant benefit information to that of clients or third-party administrators (TPA)

Identifying trends in client issues and working closely with the Relationship Manager and business partners to find ways to solve them.

Communicating with our clients in a professional manner, both verbal and written
What you’ll need:

Bachelor’s degree.

Above average Excel skills.
-
Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work as a team member as well as independently.
-
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
-
Experience in building strong relationships.
-
Detail-oriented, with impeccable organization, time management, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work in a hybrid/remote environment and have reliable internet service.
It’d be a plus if you had:
-
Minimum of 3 years of Pension Risk Transfer experience preferred.
-
Recommended three or more years of experience in an accounting or similar role.
-
Experience working with reimbursement and multi-insured contracts a plus.

Experience with macros and VBA coding a plus.
-
Enjoyment for the challenge of working in an ever-changing environment.

Ability to be a positive change agent, approaching each task with a ‘can do’ attitude with a goal of motivating and inspiring those around them.

Willingness to learn new things.

What we offer you:Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $65,900.00 to $98,000.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
