The Role

We are looking for a motivated, results-driven Regional Sales Manager to own Silicon Labs' Mountain and Northwest territory as an individual contributor. The territory spans the U.S. Mountain West (Utah, Colorado, Arizona), the Pacific Northwest (Washington, Oregon, Alaska), and Western Canada (British Columbia, Alberta), across both our Home & Life portfolio (smart home and security, wearables, medical) and our Industrial & Commercial portfolio (energy and metering, broadband, asset tracking).

You will carry the number for the region as a true territory owner: retaining and expanding a base of established customers, many of them long-standing relationships, while developing new business across a broad, multi-state account base. This is a hands-on field role backed by a local FAE.

The role is best based in Salt Lake City, central to the territory's revenue base, with Denver and Seattle as a strong alternatives. Expect significant travel, with field time concentrated in Salt Lake City, Denver, and Seattle, and regular coverage swings to Portland, Vancouver, and Calgary.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Own and grow the territory, balancing retention and expansion of established accounts with the development of new business
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for your customers, managing those relationships toward long-term, design-win-driven growth and strong ongoing service
  • Re-engage and deepen relationships across a broad, multi-state account base, identifying where existing designs can expand and where new opportunities exist
  • Drive design wins by working closely with our Business Units to influence product roadmap and unblock opportunities
  • Build and manage strong relationships with third-party distributors, with a large focus on collaboration and shared goal achievement
  • Coordinate Field Application Engineering and distribution resources to support customer engagements and close business
  • Own contract negotiations within your accounts
  • Develop and execute territory and account strategy, and manage program coordination across your customers
  • Maintain deep product and technical knowledge to consult credibly across customer organizations
  • Exemplify high standards in communications, conduct, and the execution of business

Skills You'll Need

Minimum Qualifications

  • A technology-related bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Experience in semiconductor product sales
  • Proven ability to interact with, influence, and build relationships across an organization
  • Experience promoting and consulting across an organization
  • Strong analytical and data-presentation skills
  • A strong track record of building credibility with executives and senior managers
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Strong decision-making abilities
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively across a multi-state territory
  • Familiarity with CRM software (Salesforce preferred)
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

Preferred Qualifications

  • Existing relationships and account knowledge in the Mountain West / Intermountain region (Utah, Colorado, Arizona)
  • Based in or near Salt Lake City or Denver
  • Experience selling into smart home and security, metering, medical, or industrial IoT accounts
  • Comfort owning a large, multi-state territory that mixes established-account retention with new-business development

You can look forward to the following benefits:

  • Great medical (Choice of PPO or Consumer Driven Health Plan with HSA), dental and vision plans
  • Highly competitive salary
  • 401k plan with match and Roth plan option
