The Role:
Cognex is seeking an experienced, results-oriented Senior Recruiter to lead recruiting efforts across Europe. Based in Cork, Ireland, this role will serve as the primary Talent Acquisition partner for the region, responsible for attracting, engaging, and hiring top talent across a broad range of functions including Engineering, Sales, Operations, and Corporate roles. This role will report to the Senior Manager of Recruitment based in our Unites States headquarters.
This is a hands-on recruiting role first and foremost. The successful candidate will drive hiring outcomes across Europe while partnering closely with hiring managers, HR Business Partners, and business leaders to develop and execute effective recruiting strategies. In addition to recruiting responsibilities, this individual will support key Talent Acquisition initiatives such as vendor management, employer branding, analytics, process improvements, and recruiting technology adoption.

Essential Functions:
- Lead full-cycle recruitment across Europe, managing the hiring process from requisition intake through offer acceptance.
- Partner with hiring managers and HR Business Partners to understand talent needs, develop recruiting strategies, and deliver high-quality hiring outcomes.
- Build and maintain robust pipelines of active and passive candidates through proactive sourcing, networking, referrals, and market research.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to hiring managers by providing talent market insights, candidate assessments, and recommendations throughout the hiring process.
- Deliver an exceptional candidate experience through consistent communication, timely feedback, and effective management of the recruiting process.
- Leverage recruiting data and metrics to monitor pipeline health, improve hiring outcomes, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
- Manage relationships with external recruitment agencies and recruiting vendors, ensuring strong performance, cost effectiveness, and appropriate utilization.
- Drive adoption of best practices and process improvements that increase efficiency and reduce reliance on external agencies.
- Support regional Talent Acquisition initiatives, including referral programs, employer branding, university recruiting, and other special projects, while maintaining a primary focus on recruiting delivery.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Proven success managing full-cycle recruitment across technical, commercial, manufacturing, and corporate functions.
- Experience recruiting across multiple European countries and talent markets.
- Strong sourcing skills with a demonstrated ability to identify, engage, and attract passive candidates.
- Ability to build trusted relationships with hiring managers and influence hiring decisions through sound judgment and market insights.
- Strong interviewing, candidate assessment, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Experience managing external recruitment agencies and recruiting vendors.
- Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems, LinkedIn Recruiter, and recruiting technologies; Workday experience preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional proficiency in German is a plus.
Minimum Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience.
- Experience supporting hiring across multiple European countries.
- Demonstrated success recruiting technical, commercial, manufacturing, and/or business professionals through direct sourcing.
- Experience partnering with senior business leaders and hiring managers.
- Experience leading recruiting projects, process improvements, or Talent Acquisition initiatives preferred.
