The Senior Recruiter serves as a strategic talent advisor and owns full-cycle recruiting across multiple business functions. This role partners with hiring managers, senior leaders, and cross-functional HR partners to develop thoughtful hiring strategies, identify and engage high-quality talent, and deliver an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience. The Sr. Recruiter combines recruiting expertise, business acumen, consultative partnership, data fluency, and operational excellence. The role is expected to anticipate risks, influence decisions without direct authority, and balance speed, quality, cost, compliance, scalability, and business impact.
In addition to independently managing complex searches, the Senior Recruiter helps evolve the Talent Acquisition function by leading or supporting initiatives, translating market and recruiting data into recommendations, mentoring colleagues, and identifying scalable improvements.
We are ideally looking for someone located in the CST/EST time zones.
In this role as Senior Recruiter, you will be responsible for:
- Lead the end-to-end recruitment process for complex and high-priority requisitions, including intake and strategy development, sourcing, screening, assessment, interview design and coordination, candidate communication, offer negotiation, and offer support.
- Serve as a trusted talent advisor to hiring managers and senior leaders by understanding the broader business need, challenging assumptions appropriately, and offering recommendations that balance business, talent, HR, and candidate considerations.
- Develop differentiated recruiting and sourcing strategies across multiple business functions, including targeted outreach, talent mapping, passive-candidate engagement, referrals, networking, CRM campaigns, and external talent communities.
- Use market intelligence, pipeline data, recruiting metrics, and candidate feedback to diagnose search challenges, identify risks, and influence changes to role requirements, compensation, process, or workforce plans.
- Build strong relationships across functions and levels, navigate organizational dynamics, and drive alignment among hiring leaders, HR Business Partners, Compensation, Finance, Talent Acquisition Operations, HR Operations, and other partners.
- Lead by example in delivering an exceptional, inclusive, and consistent candidate and hiring manager experience, including timely communication, thoughtful expectation setting, and effective resolution of complex issues.
- Design and conduct structured interviews and advise hiring teams on competencies, assessment methods, scorecards, decision quality, and equitable hiring practices.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant recruiting data and documentation while using Greenhouse, CRM technology, AI-enabled recruiting tools, and analytics to improve effectiveness and scalability.
- Provide concise, decision-oriented updates to hiring managers and Talent Acquisition leadership regarding pipeline health, hiring progress, market conditions, dependencies, and recommended actions.
- Anticipate changing priorities and business needs, helping stakeholders and teammates adjust recruiting plans while maintaining momentum and quality.
- Lead or support Talent Acquisition projects, structured experiments, process improvements, employer-brand initiatives, vendor evaluations, and technology adoption; translate lessons learned into scalable solutions.
- Coach and mentor recruiters and Talent Acquisition partners by sharing sourcing practices, market insights, systems knowledge, and data-driven decision approaches.
- Contribute to talent market maps, workforce planning insights, succession or pipeline strategies, and other proactive talent initiatives for critical areas.
- Monitor recruiting vendors and technology partners, surface performance concerns, and help ensure tools and services deliver expected value.
For this role as Senior Recruiter, you should have:
- 7+ years of progressive full-cycle recruiting experience with demonstrated ownership of complex searches and senior stakeholder relationships, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience integrating ATS, CRM, sourcing automation, AI-enabled tools, and recruiting analytics into effective workflows; Greenhouse experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience in a private equity-backed, high-growth, acquisitive, or rapidly changing organization.
- Proven success recruiting across multiple business functions in a corporate, agency, RPO, or blended environment, with substantial internal client ownership and alignment.
- Strong consultative skills and demonstrated ability to influence leaders, navigate competing priorities, and make recommendations without relying on direct authority.
- Advanced sourcing, talent-mapping, candidate assessment, interviewing, offer negotiation, and closing skills.
- Strong knowledge of recruiting and sourcing best practices, employment laws, policies, compliance requirements, and confidential-data stewardship.
- Demonstrated ability to use recruiting metrics, market intelligence, and multiple data points to identify patterns, diagnose problems, evaluate trade-offs, and guide hiring decisions.
- Experience leading or materially contributing to recruiting process improvements, technology implementations, change initiatives, or cross-functional Talent Acquisition projects.
- Excellent executive-level verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to provide crisp updates, tell a clear data story, and translate recruiting complexity into practical recommendations.
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguity, anticipate change, manage multiple complex priorities, and deliver high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced, fully remote environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning, constructive feedback, collaboration, mentorship, and helping others adopt better ways of working.
Bonus Points:
- Experience recruiting for SaaS, education technology, sales, customer success, product, engineering, or senior corporate functions
- Experience supporting remote and geographically dispersed hiring teams and partnering with executive leaders
