About the Role

We are seeking a Senior React Developer / Engineering Manager to lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable frontend applications. This role requires a blend of deep technical expertise, architectural thinking, and team leadership.

You will own the frontend ecosystem end-to-end, drive engineering excellence, and lead a team to build high-performance, user-centric web applications aligned with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Frontend Architecture & Technical Leadership
  • Define and implement scalable frontend architecture using React.
  • Establish coding standards, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Drive decisions on state management, modular architecture, and performance optimization.
  • Ensure systems are secure, reliable, maintainable, and highly available.
  1. Hands-on Development
  • Develop and maintain robust, production-grade React applications.
  • Convert product requirements and UX designs into clean, reusable code.
  • Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Integrate frontend systems with RESTful APIs and backend services.
  1. Team Leadership & Ownership
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of frontend engineers.
  • Drive a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct code reviews, technical guidance, and performance feedback.
  • Own delivery timelines, quality, and execution excellence.
  1. Cross-functional Collaboration
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, UX Designers, Backend Engineers, and stakeholders.
  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions and architecture.
  • Participate in sprint planning, estimations, and roadmap discussions.
  1. Performance & Operational Excellence
  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and scalability issues.
  • Ensure adherence to CI/CD pipelines, testing strategies, and code quality standards.
  • Maintain clear technical documentation and system design artifacts.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of software development experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with React.js (mandatory).
  • 3+ years of experience in frontend architecture/design.
  • Strong proficiency in:
    • JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript
    • React (Hooks, Context API, Redux or similar state management)
    • REST APIs and asynchronous programming
  • Experience with component libraries and design systems (e.g., Storybook).
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Web performance optimization
    • Responsive and cross-browser development
    • Accessibility standards (WCAG)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with micro-frontends or scalable frontend platforms.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
  • Exposure to mobile app development (React Native or similar).
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.

Leadership & Soft Skills

  • Proven experience in leading and mentoring engineering teams.
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
