Senior R&D Test Engineer

The OneSearch team at HERE is looking for a Senior Test Engineer to join our global squad in the USA, India, Poland, or Germany.

You’ll help ensure the quality and reliability of Geocoding and Search, our service that transforms raw addresses and POIs into precise, dependable locations for everything from in-car navigation to enterprise logistics solutions handling thousands of queries per second.

In this role, you will:

• Design, implement, and execute automated functional tests, primarily targeting a RESTful web service.
• Perform release verification with a focus on regression testing.
• Gather and analyze large volumes of test data for use in test design.
• Develop test scripts as needed.
• Review and refine existing test cases and approaches, providing suggestions for improvement.
• Report daily on test progress and any detected issues, collaborating closely with engineers.
• Create, maintain, and enhance test documentation for clarity and completeness.

• Degree in Computer Science or an equivalent qualification.
• 5+ years of work experience in testing backend software, preferably Web Services.
• Strong coding skills in test automation with one scripting or programming language, preferably Java and/or Python.
• Data analysis mindset or similar experiences
• Preferably experienced in testing tools such as RestAssured, PyTest, TestNG, ReadyAPI, PostMan or similar
• Good understanding of Microservices (k8s) 
• Experience in at least one of the cloud technologies AWS, Azure, Google Cloud etc..)
• Good working knowledge on one of the continuous integration tools like GitLab, Jenkins
• Hands-on experience working on Bash, CI/CD scripts, SQL scripting
• Experience in Agile environments, TDD/BDD, Performance testing, and Log analysis tools (Splunk or similar)
• Passion for product quality, great attention to detail, and communicative personality
• Goal-oriented and conscientious attitude, high level of motivation, accountability
• Nice to have ISTQB or similar trainings/certifications
• Based in Poland
