Primary Responsibilities:
- Create bill of material for quotes with ERP system from customer documentation, focusing on large and complex projects as assigned.
- Guide, coordinate, and gather quote inputs including project scope, engineering design, manufacturing and administrative labor, materials, equipment, and other cost estimates.
- Review technical documentation and coordinate with engineering and other subject matter experts to ensure accurate capture of product, components, parts, labor, and other factors.
- Lead team efforts, coordinating with Supply Chain, Engineering, and Production team members to determine material needs, source and negotiate supplier estimates with the objective to achieve high quality materials, parts, and components at the lowest initial total cost.
- Lead team efforts, coordinating with Engineering and Production team members to evaluate and estimate production requirements including manufacturing set-up and production labor costs.
- Assess manufacturing processes, production methods, and labor requirements.
- Analyze production requirements and capacity considerations.
- Evaluate engineering change notices (ECN) and determine re-quote requirements.
- Review all estimation inputs against customer RFQs to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to Nortech’s standards.
- Review or oversee review of actual manufacturing cost reports and/or conduct quote reviews on active assemblies to identify trends and areas for quote estimation process improvement.
- Present ideas orally and/or in writing.
- Communicate and ensure Company quote process, documentation, version control, pricing standards and protocols are followed.
- Keep supervisor informed about project status, workload, concerns, questions, and progress.
- Demonstrate and support Nortech’s Mission, Core Values, policies and procedures at all times.

Education & Background:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, engineering, or related area, or five years’ experience coordinating customer RFQ cost estimates (or closely related work) in a complex or custom manufacturing environment.
- Three years of experience:
- Reading product specification documents and basic engineering drawings including customer RFQs, electro-mechanical engineering product design, production schematics, financials, bill of materials, and other technical inputs.
- Acting as a liaison between sales, engineering, supply chain, production, and/or finance teams to coordinate review and evaluation of customer RFQs, document product manufacturing set-up requirements, time and cost estimates, and evaluate production fit and capacity.
- Using sales support systems to track, enter, and manage product documentation and sales quote data.
- Professional experience coordinating and communicating complex technical and product pricing topics across multi-functional teams.
- Experience using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and/or similar software collaboration tools at a proficient level.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, engineering, or related area with five years’ experience as described above.

Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, engineering, or related area OR three years' experience coordinating customer RFQ cost estimates in a complex or custom manufacturing environment
