About the Team 

The QA engineers in the teamwork in close collaboration with the team members across the globe on multiple frameworks to support UI and API automation for application or API services which ae hosted on prem or on Azure Cloud. We are currently working in complete DevOps methodology where we have dedicated CI\CD pipelines running in GitLab or GitHub.

We are using some of the latest technologies when it comes to automation testing on- prem as well as on cloud for e.g., Use of Docker Images, Azure Key Vault etc.

About the Role

The Quality Test Engineer is responsible to perform end-to-end Quality Control and Quality Assurance activities for the project/customers.

You will plan and execute effective and efficient automation testing to accomplish on-time and efficient delivery of high-quality software products and/or data.

Responsibilities

  • Work as part of the scrum team in collaboration with Product owners, BAs, Developers, Architects and other involved teams. Collaborate with the team wherever needed and making sure that failures are identified as early as possible ensuring that quality products are delivered to our users

  • Create test scenarios from requirements and acceptance criteria; design and develop effective automation framework as needed

  • Understand application architecture & application logic & implement automation for all the test scenarios (functional, non-functional) and any other that can facilitate effective testing

  • Achieve high level of automation coverage for all the products (Web, Services) that are delivered by the team

  • Set-up CI/CD pipelines and run all the tests (unit, functional, integration, security, e2e UI, web performance, Api load) ; report the automation test results using latest available tools

  • Continuous maintenance of the automation framework & release management, take responsibility and ownership of all testing deliveries from the team

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in software testing; graduate or above in a computer-related discipline with strong attention to detail and efficient testing approaches.

  • Strong experience in Automation & Manual Testing with sound knowledge of C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, and hands-on exposure to Playwright/Karate, Karma Jasmine.

  • Good experience working with Web Applications, Web Services, Micro Front End (MFE) and Microservices, along with effective testing strategies for the same.

  • Proven experience in Web, MFE, and Service automation using JavaScript-based automation libraries and Rest Sharp for services.

  • Hands-on experience in creating automation frameworks from scratch (any language/build tool), maintaining frameworks, and fixing broken tests.

  • Experience in setting up and managing CI pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, TeamCity, Bamboo, GitHub Actions, etc.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work as a good team player under minimal supervision and a real interest in software development and high-quality code.

  • Good-to-have experience in Web Performance/API Load testing, understanding of Kubernetes, Docker, Kafka (Kafka Connect, Kafka Streams), and MongoDB with query writing experience.

Skills Required
