About the Role
As a Senior Quality Test Engineer II, you will play a key role in designing and advancing automation solutions that support high-quality software delivery. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop scalable test frameworks, expand automated test coverage, and integrate testing into modern CI/CD pipelines. This role offers the opportunity to influence quality strategy, mentor others, and help drive continuous improvement across the engineering organization.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust test automation frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript.
- Develop and execute automated test scripts for Web UI, API, and end-to-end testing, maintain and enhance existing Selenium-based automation frameworks.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and define test strategies.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives and Review requirements and identify test scenarios, edge cases, and automation opportunities.
- Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar tools.
- Perform cross-browser, cross-platform, and responsive testing and analyze automation execution results and provide actionable reports.
- Debug application defects and work closely with development teams for resolution and mentor junior QA engineers and promote automation best practices across teams.
- Contribute to test strategy, quality metrics, and continuous process improvements.
Requirements
- Automation testing background with Strong hands-on experience with Playwright with proficiency in TypeScript / JavaScript, Selenium WebDriver and JAVA.
- Experience implementing Page Object Model (POM) and framework design patterns and data-driven and behavior-driven testing.
- Experience with REST API testing with hands-on experience using: Playwright API Testing Postman REST Assured (preferred).
- Strong coding skills in TypeScript (OR) JavaScript (OR) Java (preferred).
- Experience designing automation frameworks from scratch, test execution optimization and parallel execution strategies, reporting and logging frameworks.
- Exposure in CI/CD & Devops skills like Git/GitHub, GitHub Actions, Docker knowledge is a plus.
- Exposure in SQL Queries and Data validation techniques.
- Experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber, performance testing tools such as JMeter or k6, cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), accessibility testing, security testing, and AI-assisted testing tools is advantageous.
