The Global Quality Organization develops strategy, process, and other standards that allow Dematic to achieve its mission of aggressively and continuously improving our company by focusing on our customers’ needs, lowering cost, and developing technically superior products and solutions that are delivered on time and with high quality.
The Senior Manager of China Quality role will ensure regional projects are delivered per internal procedures, drives regional projects, ensures manufacturing and supplier products are first class, and executes a quality strategy that supports global goals, initiatives, and objectives.We offer:
  • Responsible for the overall success of the Quality organization in China that can provide quality support across multiple teams and functions.
  • Taking advantage of known or unknown synergies and focusing on excellence in execution for Dematic projects in the region.
  • Successfully defines workflows, reporting relationships, processes and collaborating cross-functionally to drive results and meet the global quality and regional execution team KPIs.
  • Develops and manages the regional budget, resource plan and business plans in conjunction with the Global Department Leader.
  • Ensuring best-in-class quality and continuous improvement across suppliers, operations, manufacturing, customers, projects, management systems, etc.
  • Monitors, reports, and presents key results and challenges to Quality executives; recognizing trends to gauge current and future performance and obtain optimum effectiveness within the region to prepare strategic plans.
  • Working collaboratively with manufacturing, engineering, and the project teams within our business to support stakeholders and ensure projects are being delivered on time and following our quality standards and metrics.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves most complex quality problems within multi-departments areas and present solution to internal stakeholders and Dematic customers.
  • Drives process measurement initiatives, including scorecards and other metrics, which can also be used to drive process improvements.

Shares best practices across the project team and/or the business segment.

Tasks and Qualifications:
  • Must exhibit excellent communication and facilitation skills, both oral and written.
  • ASQ and /or PMP certifications is a plus.
  • Support and promote and implement national and local relevant laws and regulations on EHS requirements and company EHS requirements.
  • Take care of your own health and safety as well as that of others including the implementation of risk control measures to prevent injuries or illnesses.
  • Comply with relevant statutory and legal requirements as required.
  • Preferred 15+ years of relevant Quality experience.
  • Preferred 7+ years of leadership experience in high growth, fast-paced environment; demonstrated leadership capabilities that align with Dematic and KION Core Values of Integrity, Collaboration, Courage, and Excellence.
  • Demonstrated ability to act in a leadership capacity developing and implementing business/quality processes and strategies, preparing department budgets and personnel plans, leading multiple exempt-level employees and/or other managers.
  • Experience in managing the quality of multiple large scale complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in developing ISO compliant globally integrated Quality Systems
  • Relevant experience in the use of improvement tools such as Lean, SS, 5S, Value Stream/Process Mapping, Kaizen, Design of Experiments and/or other similar tools.
  • Experience with Toyota Production System is a plus.
  • Proven experience driving an effective corrective action system.
  • Ability to travel approximately 25-35%.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field. Master’s Degree preferred.
