Job SummaryThe Senior Quality Manager will be based in Suzhou Shengpu site.
Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do:
- Lead the site quality function and establish quality objectives, operating procedures and improvement priorities aligned with business and customer requirements.
- Manage customer quality and process quality for wire harness products, ensuring effective control from incoming material through manufacturing and final shipment.
- Lead and develop the quality team, including quality engineers and production line inspectors, with clear responsibilities, capability development and performance management.
- Own wire harness process quality controls covering wire cutting and stripping, crimping, terminal insertion, assembly, electrical testing, visual inspection and traceability.
- Drive quality planning and execution for new product introduction, including feasibility review, APQP, PFMEA, control plans, inspection standards, MSA, SPC and PPAP submission.
- Monitor and improve key quality indicators such as FPY, DPPM, Cpk, scrap, customer complaints and cost of poor quality, and lead cross-functional corrective actions.
- Lead customer complaint investigation, containment, root cause analysis and 8D closure, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are implemented and sustained.
- Manage customer audits, internal audits, process audits, product audits and quality system compliance, and ensure timely closure of identified findings.
- Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, customer-specific requirements and applicable wire harness workmanship and inspection requirements.
- Partner with Manufacturing Engineering, Production, Program Management, Materials and suppliers to resolve quality issues and continuously improve process capability.
- Assess supplier and material quality risks for wires, terminals, connectors, seals and related components, and support supplier corrective actions when required.
Here is some of what you’ll need (required):
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management or a related discipline, with at least 10 years of manufacturing quality experience and 3 years of team management experience.
- Solid experience in automotive wire harness manufacturing processes, including crimping, terminal insertion, assembly, electrical testing, APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, control plans, MSA, SPC and 8D.
- Working knowledge of IATF 16949 and customer-specific requirements, with good English communication and customer-facing capability.
