To create this future, our team is building a better lithium-ion battery from the inside out today. We engineer and manufacture ground-breaking battery materials that significantly increase the energy density of batteries, while reducing their size and weight. The result? Smaller more powerful batteries that can unlock innovation in consumer devices and accelerate the mass adoption of electric cars to eliminate our dependence on fossil fuels. We're tackling one of the biggest challenges of our time every day, and together we're redefining what's possible. Are you ready to be a part of a team committed to changing the world?

You will ensure we meet or exceed customer requirements by leading the design, maintenance, and improvement of our Quality Management System (QMS) at the factory.

You are a dynamic leader who is comfortable with ambiguity and effective at creating structure. You are passionate about building a culture of technical humility and continuous improvement, driving your team to set an industry benchmark for automotive-scale industrial plants.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Partner closely with the Corporate Quality team to implement, execute, and sustain the site-level Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with corporate standards.

  • Drive root-cause analysis and regularly implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to systematically resolve product quality defects and prevent recurrence.
  • Champion a quality-first mindset across Site Leadership, Manufacturing, and Engineering teams. Utilize Lean Six Sigma methodologies to drive site-wide problem-solving and reduce out-of-spec material.
  • Hire, onboard, and develop a high-performing local Quality team. Empower the organization through consistent feedback, coaching, and targeted quality training.
  • Foster a culture of psychological safety, healthy debate, and inclusion, ensuring all plant quality operations meet or exceed PSM and OSHA standards.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
  • A minimum of 7–10 years of experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing or production setting, specifically within Quality Assurance.
  • In-depth knowledge of quality workflows (PFMEA, NPI, CoA, Calibration, MRB). Preferred experience in commissioning a new plant and leading it to successful project completion.
  • Ability to think strategically and create structure in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to influence site culture and effectively communicate with leadership, customers, and auditors.
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills; Lean Six Sigma certification is highly preferred.
