Job Description

Purpose of the role

To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues. 

Accountabilities

• Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
• Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
• Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
• Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
• Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
• Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.

What will you be doing?

Barclays Services LLC seeks Senior Quality Engineering Analyst, VP seeks Barclays Services LLC in Wilmington, DE (multiple positions available):

• Responsible for the delivery of Data Platform initiatives to budget and agreed quality governance standards.
• Provide solutions for the ingestion, storage and presentation of enterprise data including ETL design, data storage strategies, and data access and securities.
• Employ task estimation, test automation, deployment automation and continuous integration to enhance overall execution speed and product quality.
• Drive and mature AGILE journey for USCB RFT engineering products using JIRA and Confluence.
• Ensure all Lean Control governance practices are followed during product development life cycle and demonstrated in LCT metrics.
• Refine the USCB RFT roadmap and execute delivery using agile practices/ ceremonies.
• Drive Quality Engineering Center of Excellence, improving End to End customer/user experience coverages.
• Manage and drive Engineering Excellence initiatives for USCB RFT’s Products: mature DevOps, Improves code quality, security aspects and operations.
• Support all audits for the Quality Assurance department.
• Ensure that there are No defect escapes and High Severity incidents for tests delivered, in subsequent phases and in production.
• Ensure that the test teams and other stakeholders are adequately engaged during the entire test project progress, and the support provided to other teams and transitions is of the highest quality.
• Oversee 3+ direct reports (Analyst, Test Engineer and ETL Developer)
• May telecommute.
