Summary:
In this role, you will test new and modified software programs, and software development procedures. You will verify and validate the quality of software products for Vizient as an active and collaborative member of the quality engineering team. You will assist team members in refining upcoming project work from a quality engineer perspective.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the creation, execution, and documentation of test cases that include: pre and post conditions, test execution steps, and expected results for releases and defects.
- Identify, document and report bugs, errors, flaws, and other issues with software applications.
- Recommend design improvements and defect corrections throughout the development process.
- Perform functional system and regression testing and write SQL, Python or PySpark code to analyze data.
- Collaborate and pair with other Quality Engineers to develop best practices and automation initiatives.
- Work with product owners, developers, integration team and coordinate with different system teams.
- Provide estimates for planning, development, and execution of test efforts across teams and products.
- Independently investigate, diagnose, and resolve product inconsistencies and defects, and propose product improvements.
- Advocate for testing and test automation by establishing and communicating automation strategies, processes, and benefits.
- Inform management of technical trends and emerging technologies.
- Provide technical and leadership mentoring to others in the immediate group.
Qualifications:
- Relevant degree preferred.
- 5 or more years of relevant experience required.
- 4 or more years of experience with setting up and using Quality Assurance (QA) automation tools Is required.
- Strong experience in QA process for software development required.
- Proficient in MS SQL Server and T-SQL with extensive hands-on experience required.
- Experience with writing Python or Pyspark code for automation is required.
- Proficient in Data Engineering tools such as Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 (ADLS), Key Vault, and Databricks is required.
- Experience understanding and developing data lake or delta lake ecosystems required.
- Knowledge of programming technologies including Azure, .Net Core, C#, Java, Selenium, SQL, and T-SQL required.
- Experience in an agile software development environment preferred.
- Experience with both manual and automated testing highly preferred.
- Knowledge of software architecture and design standards preferred.
Estimated Hiring Range:
At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $88,900.00 to $146,700.00.
This position is also incentive eligible.
