Role Overview
We are seeking a Sr Quality Assurance Engineer (SDET) to lead testing strategy, develops automation solutions, and ensures high-quality software delivery. The role blends deep technical expertise, automation leadership, cross-team collaboration, and quality advocacy.
The SDET will play a critical role in advancing modern quality engineering practices, including shift-left testing, automation, and AI-enabled testing capabilities. This individual will collaborate closely with global QE, Product, Engineering, Architecture, and Release Management teams to ensure quality is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Test Automation & Framework Engineering
- Design, build, modify, and maintain durable, maintainable automation frameworks.
- Ensure CI/CD integration using Jenkins or Harness.
- Construct reliable functional test automation with resilient execution.
- Provide automation execution support including triage and refactoring.
- Review automated test code and ensure adherence to standards.
- Leverage automation and AI-assisted testing techniques.
- Define and standardize QA processes across multiple testing methodologies.
- Target higher-risk areas, set priorities, and determine testing scope.
- Document defects, execute test plans, and support debugging efforts.
- Provide manual test execution when needed.
- Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, DevOps, and infrastructure teams.
- Prioritize automated tests and support CI onboarding.
- Mentor team members and provide quality engineering leadership.
- Engage in project estimation and planning when required.
- Research and implement new automation technologies.
- Stay current with emerging tools and industry best practices.
- Improve automation coverage, test stability, and quality metrics.
- 5+ years of QA/SDET experience.
- Proficiency in Java, TypeScript, and Python.
- Experience with Selenium, Appium, JUnit, Postman, and Insomnia.
- Experience with NodeJS, Mocha, and Cucumber.
- Familiarity with Agile, TDD, and BDD.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Harness.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or other cloud services.
- Familiarity with AngularJS, NodeJS, and modern web frameworks.
- Experience with GenAI, AI/ML, and advanced automation augmentation tools.
- Experience with JIRA, Xray, qTest, and Allure Reports.
- Experience testing enterprise business platforms such as Workday and SAP
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
