In this role, you will design and drive test strategies and automation for Optical DWDM equipment and key protocols, including OTN, GBE, and DWDM, with a strong focus on system security.

Responsibilities- Review system and product requirements to create comprehensive test plans that validate system features and real-world customer deployment scenarios
- Verify complex system features and functionality in carrier-grade products to ensure reliability and performance
- Develop cross-functional feature test scripts based on system requirements and test plans
- Design, maintain, and execute automated test frameworks, analyzing failures to improve system quality
- Partner with system engineering teams on requirements review, definition, and test plan validation
- Partner with test, design, and architecture teams to understand feature implementation and ensure effective testing coverage
- Provide detailed test execution reports, including defect analysis and resolution tracking
- Deliver independent quality insights and assessments to support confident feature deployment

You Have:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in CSE, EEE, or ECE, with 5+ years of experience in testing and automation within optical network systems
- Hands-on experience testing SONET/SDH/OTN/DWDM systems, including ROADM and optical amplifier line cards, in a product development environment
- Experience in testing FCAPS, provisioning, configuration, and protection schemes to ensure system reliability
- Proficiency in using test equipment, including test sets and optical spectrum analyzers (OSA), and programming/scripting skills in Python, Perl, or equivalent languages
- Proven experience in system testing across multiple product releases, ensuring quality, consistency, and adherence to relevant standards

- Strong understanding of optical and software design for network components within optical nodes
- Experience in testing FCAPS, provisioning, configuration, and protection schemes to ensure system reliability
