Broad Function:
We are seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer with 6–8 years of hands-on experience in software testing, primarily in manual and integration testing, to support the Varta SaaS customer communication platform. The candidate should have strong expertise in end-to-end QA validation across multi-channel communication systems (email, SMS, print, WhatsApp, push), complex workflows, and enterprise integrations. This role requires strong analytical ability, ownership mindset, and the capability to lead QA efforts across releases you will be responsible in ensuring high-quality, secure, and compliant communication delivery across banking and enterprise clients.

Primary Responsibilities:
Requirements Review & Validation - Review and validate business requirements, functional specifications, and technical design documents to ensure clarity, completeness, and testability of Varta features and enhancements.
Test Strategy & Planning - Develop comprehensive test strategies, detailed test plans, and test cases covering complex workflows, orchestration logic, batch processing, and multi-channel communication scenarios.
Functional & End-to-End Testing - Execute functional, integration, end-to-end (E2E), regression, and data validation testing across SaaS deployments to ensure system stability and accuracy.
Multi-Channel Communication Validation - Validate end-to-end communication journeys across multiple channels including email, SMS, print, WhatsApp, and push notifications.
API & Interface Testing - Perform API and interface testing to validate data exchange and integrations with upstream systems and downstream communication gateways.
Test Analysis & Quality Improvement - Analyze test results, identify defects or process gaps, and recommend improvements to enhance product quality and testing efficiency.
Cross-Functional Collaboration- Collaborate with development, product, and DevOps teams for defect triage, root cause analysis, and validation of fixes to ensure timely resolution.
QA Ownership & Release Management - Take ownership of QA deliverables for assigned modules or releases and ensure milestone-based quality sign-off before deployment, Mentor junior and associate QA engineers, review their test artifacts, and guide them in maintaining quality standards.
UAT & Production Readiness Support- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), client validation cycles, and production release readiness activities.
Reporting & Metrics Management - Drive QA reporting through dashboards, traceability matrices, and quality metrics to provide visibility into testing progress and outcomes.
Process & Standards Enhancement- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, standards, documentation practices, and reusable test assets.

Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- 6–8 years of hands-on experience in Software Quality Assurance with strong expertise in manual, web application, and integration/API testing.
- Strong working knowledge and hands-on experience in JMeter for performance testing.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments; exposure to SaaS or enterprise workflow-based platforms preferred.
- Strong expertise in end-to-end scenario validation, complex workflow testing, and data reconciliation.
- Solid understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), testing methodologies, and defect management processes.
- Experience in client-facing QA discussions, requirement clarifications, and release validation cycles.
- Proven ability to manage multiple releases within tight timelines with strong ownership and accountability.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, defect reporting, and escalation management skills.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills; prior mentoring experience preferred.
- Hands-on experience with tools such as JIRA, Defect Management Tools, JMeter, and BrowserStack or Playwright.
