Senior QHSE Advisor

Lead the European QHSE function across 18 countries, with a team of more than 20 professionals. You own the regional integrated management system covering ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO/IEC 27001, and connect quality, health and safety, environment and information security to how the business actually runs.

What you'll do

Set the regional direction
Develop and lead the European QHSE strategy. Translate Group requirements and business priorities into objectives, annual plans and measurable improvements, agree them with European and country leadership and secure the resources to deliver.

Lead and develop the team
Directly manage more than 20 QHSE professionals across Europe. Set responsibilities and performance expectations, coach, build specialist capability and plan succession. Manage the regional budget and resources, balancing consistent standards with local needs.

Own the integrated management system
Lead the development and continual improvement of the integrated management system across all four standards. Maintain certification within the agreed scope, with common processes, clear ownership and effective management reviews across the region.

Drive quality and customer satisfaction
Work with sales, engineering, procurement, project delivery and service to improve process performance and the quality of products and services. Lead the response to significant customer complaints and recurring nonconformities, reduce the cost of poor quality and verify that corrective actions prevent recurrence.

Strengthen safety and environmental performance
Lead regional programmes to prevent injury and ill health, control operational risk and improve environmental performance across offices, customer sites and projects. Make employee participation and accountable leadership the norm.

Coordinate information security governance
Own the integration of information security into the management system, working with IT, information security specialists and process owners. Risks, responsibilities, supplier controls, awareness and corrective actions are managed consistently; technical controls stay with the specialists.

Lead assurance, compliance and investigations
Set the regional audit strategy and run a risk-based internal audit programme across all four disciplines. Maintain oversight of applicable obligations with local management and subject-matter experts. Escalate significant gaps, verify corrective-action effectiveness and prepare the region for certification and customer audits. Lead or oversee investigations into serious safety and environmental incidents, significant quality failures and management-system nonconformities, and coordinate information security investigations with the responsible specialists. Establish a consistent root-cause approach that turns lessons into changes across the region.

Advise senior leadership
Act as the senior regional adviser on QHSE. Challenge decisions where risks are unacceptable, recommend practical solutions and escalate what needs executive action. Represent Yokogawa with customers, regulators and certification bodies.

Turn performance data into decisions
Own regional objectives, KPIs and reporting across the integrated management system. Give European leadership a clear view of performance, emerging risks and overdue commitments. Lead management reviews that result in decisions, accountable owners and follow-through.

Bring QHSE into business decisions early
Embed QHSE and information security requirements into bids, contracts, supplier selection, projects and organisational change. Support sustainability reporting with reliable environmental and safety data, and prepare the region for changes in legislation and standards.

What you bring

• 8+ years in QHSE, integrated management systems or a related compliance function, including 3+ years in a multi-country or multi-site leadership role
• 5+ years of direct people management, leading a large, geographically dispersed team, managing performance and developing future leaders
• Background in industrial automation, process industries, engineering or a comparable operational environment
• Hands-on leadership of integrated management systems covering ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001, plus practical experience governing or integrating ISO/IEC 27001 requirements
• A track record managing certification, leading audit programmes and delivering measurable improvement in quality, safety and environmental performance
• Experience overseeing serious incident investigations, significant customer complaints and complex corrective-action programmes
• Experience managing regional budgets, resources, priorities and organisational change
• The confidence to influence senior leaders, challenge constructively and turn technical requirements into business decisions
• A degree in engineering, quality, occupational safety, environmental management or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience
• Fluent English; other European languages are an advantage
• Regular travel across Europe
