Job Description
We are seeking a Senior QA Test Automation Engineer to lead and evolve the automated testing landscape of the AWS Fleethub platform.
This role is critical in a highly automated testing environment. You will be responsible for maintaining existing automated test suites, as well as designing new automated tests for newly developed features.
You will work very closely with AWS Application Developers, Web Developers, and DevSecOps engineers to embed test automation into CI/CD pipelines and daily development practices.
Key Responsibilities
Test Automation Development & Maintenance
Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites
Enhance and refactor existing automated test scripts and procedures
Ensure automated test coverage for new features developed by the AWS Application Development team
CI/CD & DevSecOps Integration
Integrate automated test execution into CI/CD pipelines
Ensure fast, reliable feedback through automated regression testing
Support quality gates and release readiness processes
Collaboration & Coaching
Work closely with application developers on test design and quality improvements
Guide and influence developers on testability, test data, and automation best practices
Collaborate with the Senior QA Test Engineer to ensure balanced test coverage
Quality Engineering & Innovation
Drive adoption of modern testing practices and tools
Explore new tools, frameworks, and approaches through proofs of concept
Contribute to long‑term test automation strategy and standards
Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
5+ years of hands‑on test automation experience
Strong experience with test automation frameworks (TestRail, TestFlight, Robot Framework, PyCharm, Selenium Web Driver) and scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python)
Experience automating web applications, APIs, and integration flows
Solid understanding of REST APIs, JSON/XML, and distributed systems
Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with cloud‑native or microservices‑based architectures
Exposure to containerized or serverless environments
Familiarity with messaging systems and asynchronous processing
Experience modernizing manual test areas through automation
