We're VOID Interactive, the kickass team behind the best-selling FPS game, Ready or Not. We're made up of some seriously talented individuals who love games and creating awesome content together. We're seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Senior QA Specialist to join us remotely and help us elevate Ready or Not to new heights. Our goal is strong: to establish Ready or Not as the quintessential FPS of our time. 

As a Senior QA Specialist, you'll play a key role in ensuring the quality and stability of our projects by developing and executing comprehensive testing strategies alongside the development team. You will thoroughly test our games, uncover critical issues, verify high-priority fixes, and communicate project risks that help deliver the best possible gameplay experience for our players. 

In this role, you'll be expected to: 

  • Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive testing strategies and test cycles covering gameplay, functionality, performance, usability, balancing, and regression. 
  • Validate game quality across all major platforms, identifying issues early in development and supporting the delivery of stable, high-quality releases. 
  • Identify edge cases, potential risks, test coverage gaps, and opportunities to improve overall product quality. 
  • Write detailed and easy-to-understand bug reports that help developers quickly identify and resolve issues. 
  • Transform large volumes of QA feedback into actionable reports that guide development decisions. 
  • Support milestone planning by providing detailed risk assessments and informed quality evaluations. 
  • Champion the continuous improvement of QA workflows, processes, documentation, and testing standards. 
  • Maintain balanced test coverage aligned with project milestones, priorities, and long-term product goals. 
  • Apply strong FPS and tactical shooter knowledge to develop effective testing strategies and identify opportunities to improve the player experience. 
  • Work collaboratively, share knowledge, and help foster a supportive and effective testing environment. 
  • Support Agile development practices and participate in team ceremonies.

Here's what you'll be bringing to the team: 

  • 4+ years of QA experience in the videogame industry, with experience owning or leading testing initiatives. 
  • Proven experience contributing to complex projects from early development through final release. 
  • Solid understanding of QA processes, testing workflows, methodologies, and best practices required to deliver polished player experiences. 
  • Exceptional bug-reporting skills with strong attention to detail and a disciplined, investigative approach to testing. 
  • Experience designingmaintaining, and executing detailed test cases and comprehensive test plans. 
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with an ability to explain complex issues clearly and concisely. 
  • Confidence identifying QA project risks early, and experience contributing to practical mitigation strategies and solutions. 
  • High proficiency with issue-tracking and documentation platforms including Jira and Confluence. 
  • Deep understanding of complex FPS game mechanics, systems, and player behaviours. 
  • Ability to consolidate large amounts of information into clear and concise action items. 
  • Strong passion for FPS and tactical shooter games, with the ability to translate player experience into high-impact testing strategy. 
  • Experience and confidence working in Agile and Scrum environments. 
  • Self-motivated, highly adaptable, and a collaborative team player committed to excellence. 

 

Bonus points if you have: 

  • Experience shipping or working on AAA titles. 
  • First-party certification experience (Microsoft, Sony, etc). 
  • Competency using and navigating the Unreal Editor. 
  • Automation and/or scripting experience. 
  • Keen interest in the tactical shooter and FPS market. 
  • ISTQB certified tester. 

 

Please NoteThis role is offered as a full-time employee position for candidates based in Ireland.  For candidates based outside of Ireland, the role will be engaged on a full-time contractor basis, subject to local laws and eligibility requirements. We are a remote-first company and are committed to hiring the best candidate for the role, regardless of location. Compensation is determined based on the candidate's location, relevant experience, and prevailing market rates.
