The Quality Assurance team owns the testing process, risk management, and quality evaluation of all products and functions across Epic. Our team works closely with developers and production to ensure the best possible user experience for our community and customers.
What You'll Do
Join the UCS team at Epic Games and help create the ultimate suite of cloud-based collaborative content creation tools! In this exciting role, you'll take on challenges such as ensuring seamless user experiences, creating innovative automated tests, and collaborating with talented cross-functional teams across UCS and Epic. In this role, you will
- Lead the design, development, and execution of test strategies for cloud services Backend and Front end, with a focus on functionality, scalability, performance, and reliability.
- Design, implement, and maintain automated tests, based on white box testing techniques.
- Implement and advocate for best practices in testing and quality assurance, including continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and product planning meetings to contribute to the overall quality of the product. Track, analyze, and report key quality metrics to drive continuous improvement, ensuring visibility into product health and identifying areas for optimization throughout the development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate and validate seamless integration of cloud services components within other Epic Creative Tools such as Twinmotion, MetaHuman, Fortnite Creative and Unreal Engine.
- Analyze complex issues using logs, metrics, and debugging tools to identify and document actionable bugs reports for our programming team to address.
- Oversee and guide QA contractors, including coordinating their tasks, providing mentorship, and ensuring that their work aligns with our overall testing strategies and goals.
What we're looking for
- Experience with one or more coding languages, ideally RUST and/or C++
- Proven ability to develop automation and test strategies.
- Proven ability to develop automated tests and contribute to automation frameworks and tooling.
- Familiarity with testing cloud-based web applications as well as native desktop applications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think like an end user to identify potential production problems.
- Excellent understanding of software testing principles and methodologies. ISTQB certification would be a big asset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate problems and solutions clearly.
- Passion for technology, Creative Tools and delivering exceptional user experiences.
- A proactive approach to identify issues and propose process improvements.
- Team player with a collaborative mindset, eager to contribute to a supportive and creative team culture.
This role is open to multiple locations in North America (including NYC).

The expected annual base pay range(s) for this position are detailed below. Each base pay range is relevant only for individuals who are residents of or will be expected to work within the specified locale. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors, which include (but aren’t limited to) things such as skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, and experience. In addition to base pay, most employees are eligible to participate in Epic’s generous benefit plans and discretionary incentive programs (subject to the terms of those plans or programs).
New York City Base Pay Range
$143,986—$211,179 USD
