What does a successful Senior QA Engineer - Mobile App do?

A successful QA Engineer at Fiserv is accountable for the overall quality of mobile companion apps on the Android and iOS platforms. This role requires collaboration with Android, iOS, and server developers, product and design teams to create test plans and execute them to ensure quality delivery. You will invent creative ways to reproduce "hard to reproduce" customer issues in-house to help improve the user experience.

What you will do:

• Design and develop QA strategies for the Android and iOS mobile apps.
• Ensure the overall quality of the mobile companion apps on the Android and iOS platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, product, and design to create and execute test plans.
• Develop innovative solutions to enhance testing coverage and effectiveness, including non-standard automation tools.
• Contribute actively to the development and maintenance of automation frameworks and scripts.
• Assist in debugging and resolving customer issues by reproducing complex scenarios in-house.

What you will need to have:

• 5+ years in Mobile App QA for apps on Apple and Google stores.
• Strong experience in test planning, strategy, and risk analysis.
• 3+ years with UI automation tools (UI Automator, Selenium, Cypress, Appium).
• 4+ years with CI tools/processes (GitHub, Jira, Jenkins).
• Proficient in Japanese language, both spoken and written.

What would be great to have:

• 5+ years testing mobile POS/payment apps.
• Advanced scripting (Python, shell).
• 3+ years using robots with automation tools.
• Proven track record in promoting quality practices (6+ years).
• 4+ years testing power/performance.
