Why This Role Matters:
As a Sr. Software QA Automation Engineer, you will be a key contributor to creating automation testing strategies. You will work closely with Developers, QA Engineers, and Business Analysts to grow your knowledge and implement effective automation solutions to ensure a high-quality product.
How You'll Contribute:
- Develop, document and execute End-to-end automation suite as part of the overall build and deployment lifecycle
- Ability to collaborate with business and product managers on test case design for comprehensive coverage.
- Active participant in all Agile ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Refinement, and Retrospectives.
- Developing solutions and proposals to lead the automation development strategy and implementation to improve software quality
- Determine types of testing necessary to ensure overall quality
- Oversee test execution, monitor results, and generate reports.
- Provide guidance and training to team members.
- Working in a fast-paced, dynamic workplace. Good multi-tasking abilities
What We're Looking For:
- BS in Computer Science or related field
- Strong knowledge of QA methodology, process, and tools
- At least 5+ years of software development experience focusing on test automation using JavaScript/Typescript
- At least 3+ years of working directly with relational databases and scripting (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)
- Previous experience leading projects representing QA and providing estimates
- Strong experience in test automation frameworks like Jest, Mocha, Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, and related technologies
- Experience with testing protocols and APIs (REST or GraphQL)
- Experience with designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Gitlab, Git, etc.
- Experience with determining types of testing necessary to ensure overall quality
- Experience with integration testing
- Experience with regression test suites and keeping scripts updated/relevant
- Ability to perform peer reviews on code and design
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
- High level of creativity and quick problem-solving capabilities
- Detail oriented with strong focus on code and product quality
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Bonus points if you have experience in:
- API testing using Postman, JMeter, or Insomnia
- Postgres DB
- Performance testing
Compensation:
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $130,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $140,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
