Senior Python Engineer

Ciklum is looking for a Senior Python Engineer  to join our team full-time in India.

About the role:

As a Senior Python Engineer , become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow. We are looking for a Senior Python Developer with deep expertise in Python backend architecture, AWS cloud infrastructure, and modern data systems to build performant, event-driven applications. In this role, you will lead the backend design, manage scalable cloud infrastructure, maintain robust data layers, and integrate emerging AI/LLM components while working across the full application stack.

Responsibilities:

• Backend & System Architecture: Architect and maintain high-performance microservices, REST APIs, WebSockets, and background job processing leveraging Python and FastAPI. Design resilient, event-driven systems built for scale
• Cloud Infrastructure & DevOps: Drive AWS infrastructure deployment (ECS/EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, API Gateway) using Terraform or AWS CDK. Build automated CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and monitor overall system health
• Database & Data Management: Model, optimize, and maintain relational (PostgreSQL), NoSQL (DynamoDB), and in-memory (Redis) databases to ensure fast query performance and high availability
• Frontend Engineering: Build responsive user interfaces using React, Next.js (App Router), TypeScript, and Tailwind/MUI, integrating state management and secure authentication flows
• Security & Auth: Enforce enterprise-grade API security, OAuth/JWT authentication, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and centralized secrets management across all services
• AI & Agentic Integrations: Implement AI capability integrations using prompt engineering, structured outputs, RAG workflows, vector databases, and agentic frameworks (e.g., LangGraph, PydanticAI, CrewAI)

Testing & Quality: Ensure system stability through robust testing pipelines using Pytest, comprehensive API test suites, and basic LLM evaluations

Requirements: 

• Backend: Python, FastAPI, Async Programming, REST APIs, WebSockets, Background Jobs
• AWS: ECS/EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, IAM, Secrets Manager, CloudWatch, RDS, Bedrock
• Strong Proficiency
• Databases: PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Redis, Advanced SQL Optimization
• Architecture: Microservices, Event-Driven Architecture, Scalable API Design
• DevOps: Docker, CI/CD Pipelines, GitHub Actions, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or AWS CDK), Monitoring
• Security: OAuth/JWT, RBAC, Secrets Management, API Security
• Medium Proficiency
• Frontend: React, Next.js (App Router), TypeScript, Tailwind CSS / MUI, State Management, Client-Side Authentication
• Testing: Pytest, Automated API Testing, LLM Performance Evaluation 
• Working / Basic Knowledge
• AI/LLM Engineering: Prompt Engineering, Structured Outputs, Tool Calling, RAG, Embeddings, Vector Databases
• Agentic Frameworks: LangGraph, PydanticAI, OpenAI Agents SDK, CrewAI (or similar frameworks)
