Our client is looking for a Senior Backend Python Engineer with a strong background in microservices, distributed systems, and data-at-scale. In this hands-on role, you will make meaningful technical contributions and improvements to our client’s software and operational systems. You will have a high level of ownership, playing a critical role in ensuring their engineering systems continue to meet their customers needs for years to come. 

Job responsibilities:

• Deep experience in creating, maintaining, and scaling Python microservice architectures.
• Improve scalability across a Kubernetes-based infrastructure.
• Independently execute on complex backend engineering initiatives and tasks with minimal supervision.
• Advocate for and implement improvements to Gisual's software and operational stacks.
• Assist with designing and reviewing technical architectures.
• Resolve bugs in a swift and efficient manner.
• Continuously learn and adapt, staying current with emerging technologies and industry best practices.

• 7-9+ years of Python backend software engineering experience in B2B SaaS companies ideally with a data intelligence background.
• 4+ years of experience in microservices and asynchronous workers.
• Experience in Kubernetes environments, PostgreSQL, and AMQP.
• Expert knowledge of large scale distributed systems, API design, and system observability.
• Track record of improving system performance and reliability.
• Ability to clearly communicate complex technical details.
• Strong sense of ownership and desire to contribute.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a positive attitude and a drive to solve problems creatively.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
